Convention Prayer requests for Feb. 16: Pray for the Springforth Short Term Mission team going to Kenya in March. Pray for safety, health, learning, strengthening of faith, and openness to what God is teaching them.
Please pray for the Board of Ministerial Standards and Education as it meets this week in Wolfville (February 18-20th). Pray that those who appear before the Board will share their Christian experience and Call to ministry with clarity and conviction

Feb.17 7:30 pm Hall meeting at the home of Allan & Joanne Veinot.
Feb. 18 9:30 am Museum quilting party and pot luck lunch followed by Annual and regular meetings at 1:30 pm. All quilters welcome.
Feb. 22 1 - 5 pm Long Lake Camp is having a winter party at Long Lake. All are welcome. You can bring something for pot luck if you wish. We will also be having chili, marshmallow roast, hot dogs. There will be wagon rides, activities outside, music and hopefully skating on the lake.
April 10 7 pm Next Governing Board Meeting.
Ladies "Low-Key" Walking Group: Fridays from 2-3pm. Meet at the Cheslea Road (off the Old Barss Corner Road) and park by the bridge. Call Connie if you have any questions (644-1013).

Beat the Winter Blues is a fundraising event to support St. John’s Church Hall. Come and enjoy an afternoon of decadent dessert, a twenty minute presentation on the beauty of the Atlantics Province by Richard Arnold of Atlantic Tours. Everyone receives a giveaway with one special give away of a night for two at the Queen Anne Inn, Annapolis Royal. Advance tickets required - $8.00 per person, contact Rev. Nita (644-2260) or Cathy Moore (644-2922). (February 22, 2 pm).
We are creating a method of raising funds to provide hot water (a Dept. of Health requirement) and to shingle the roof on the north side of the Church. Any donation towards this project would be appreciated. A thermometer will be placed at the back of the Church to show our progress.
