The children’s workshops that take place after school will not take place in the school holidays

KNITTING FOR CHARITY SESSIONThis is a group session that we think lots of people would enjoy – there have been many appeals recently for baby hats etc and this is a great way to learn the technique of knitting in the round. Circular needles and double pointed needles are certainly a little daunting but actually you can learn to knit on these as a complete beginner. There will only be a nominal charge to cover refreshments for this session. Skills will be taught and supported by volunteers in the group and simple hats will be produced which will be donated to the charities requesting them. The skills will include the techniques that can be used to make socks! It’s a lovely opportunity to learn new skills – have a bit of support – coffee and cake and make new friends.
