JSC «PDTB «ELEKTROTECHMONTAZH» is a dynamically developing research and production

engineering firm, which has been designing, manufacturing and supplying process equipment for over 40 years

for erection, repair and maintenance of power transformers and reactors with voltage up to 1150 kV including.

Process equipment provides:

water removal (drying), air removal (degassing), filtration (cleaning from mechanical inclusions) and

heating of mineral oils used during operation of transformers and reactors;

regeneration, namely decrease of Neutralization number, Dielectric Dissipation Factor, improvement of

Oxidation stability, color etc. of transformer mineral oils;

water removal, filtration, heating of turbine mineral oils used in the turbines of all types including using of

oils as hydraulic fluid as well in the control systems of turbine units;

storage of degassed transformer oil and its filling into power transformers and reactors of all voltage

classes;

heating of solid insulation of transformers and reactors with hot oil;

drying (dehydration) of solid insulation of transformers and reactors;

dry air preparation when depressurization of transformers and reactors;

regeneration (recovery) of sorbents;

raise and relocation of transformers and reactors;

degassing of transformer windings and reactors.

Process equipment is manufactured:

in accordance with Technical Specifications of with some JSC «PDTB «ELEKTROTECHMONTAZH»

additional Purchaser's requirements;

in accordance with documented Quality assurance system in compliance with ISO 9001 (Certificates

for the Quality Control System UA 2.003.07763-13 with validity date up to 30.05.2018);

in climatic category providing operation within the temperature range from minus 20°С to plus 35°С

(when additional order from minus 40°С to plus 45°С) at relative humidity from 85%. Average service life is no

less than 10 years. Warranty period is 1 year.

before shipping to the Customer it passes tests and adjustment in accordance with the acceptance and

approval test program;

tests are performed at testing site with employment of metrological verified equipment and instruments.

Equipment monitoring is accomplished by the Quality Control Laboratory (Certificate of Laboratory Competency

№ 100-057/2013 от 07.03.2013);

has Quality Certificates.

Process equipment meets the following Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council:

Directive 2006/42/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council EC of 17 May 2006 on machinery

and amending Directive 95/16 /EC (recast);

Directive 2006/95/ЕС of the European Parliament and of the Council EC of 12 December 2006 on the

harmonization of the laws of Member States relating to electrical equipment designed for use within certain

voltage limits;

Directive 2004/108/ЕС of the European Parliament and of the Council EC of 15 December 2004 on the

Key information on the plants

Oil capabilities at outlet of the plants, as a rule, are provided while single oil passing through the plant with

the following oil capabilities at inlet: moisture content not more than 50 ppm, air content not more than 10,5%,

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least –/18/16, content of mechanical particles not more than 80 g/t.

However if your oil capabilities are worse than the capabilities specified above, the plants will provide the

required capabilities at outlet, but for this more time will be required for oil preparation (purification).

Oil drying

Oil drying is performed in the vacuum chambers through thermal vacuum method with preliminary oil

heating up. For efficient drying they use two decanting vacuum chambers with a special spraying and controlled

nozzle system, providing optimal spreading behavior of oil with thickness smaller than 1 mm. Oil level in the

vacuum chamber is being maintained automatically.

The vacuum equipment used is as follows: rotary vane vacuum pumps or vacuum systems consisting of

rotary vane vacuum pump and vacuum pump Roots.

Oil filtering

In the plants, as a rule, there provided three-stage filtering. The first stage: inlet filter with filter fineness of

100-200 micron, second stage - preliminary treatment with filter fineness 25-50 micron, third stage – final

treatment with filter fineness 3-5 micron. Filtration factor of such systems is not less than 400.

Contamination control of filtering elements is performed by way of measurement of pressure drop or by

any other way.

Oil heating

The heaters of transformer oil are manufactured with direct or indirect oil heating. Capacity of the heaters

of oil is from 40 to 240 kW. Capacity of the heater of the specific plant is designed so that the heater provided oil

heating up to the required temperature at nominal capacity. Specific surface capacity of oil heaters is smaller 21,2 W/sm .

Control and instrumentation devices

Control and instrumentation devices of the plants perform checkout of parameters, provide normal

operation of the components parts of the plants, as well as perform locks preventing operation at emergency

modes.

The plants, providing oil preparation with its direct hearting, have locks of the emergency modes, control

and maintain the parameters as follows:

Control and maintain oil temperature;

Make control of oil pressure at outlet and outlet of the plants;

Regulate automatically oil heater capacity to maintain oil temperature at preset mode;

Disconnect automatically oil heater in case of exceeding over the preset temperature;

Perform automatically shutdown of oil heater at absence of oil flow, as well as provide impossibility of

activating of the oil heater at oil flow absence.

In the plants, providing oil preparation, there performed smooth efficiency adjustment from 10 to 100%.

Plants for oil degassing, as well as the plants for drying of solid insulation of power transformers and

reactors have possibility of control as follows:

Residual pressure and inleakage in the vacuum chamber (cooler of the plants «ETMA Iney»);

Residual pressure being produced with vacuum equipment, inleakage, temperature of windings in

transformer (at completion of the plants with SCTV system).

The scope of delivery includes:

installation in accordance with the Purchaser's order;

documentation, providing possibility of studying of the plant and possibility of the further independent

work for it;

documentation for bought-out and component parts of the plant;

set of spare parts, providing operability of the plant for the warranty service period.

ETMA UVM Plants

ETMA UVM plants provide thermal vacuum drying,

degassing, nitriding and filtering of transformer, cable and

other mineral oils. Achievable oil characteristics at the Plant

output are as follows:

residual air content as per IEC 567 smaller 0,1%;

nitrogen content 8±0,5%;

residual water content as per IEC 733 smaller

10 ppm;

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least:

–/14/12;

content of mechanical particles: smaller 10 g/t;

rated filter fineness 5 (20) micron;

breakdown voltage IEC 156 more than 60 kV.

Depending on the Plant type, oil capacity from 0,1 to 310 m /h. Oil heater capacity 20÷200 kW, specific surface

Power supply Standard 3x400V, 50 Hz/60 Hz.

ETMA UVS and ETMA UVSE Plants

ETMA UVS Plants provide thermal vacuum drying,

degassing and filtering of transformer mineral oils, and

ETMA UVSE Plants provide thermal vacuum drying and

filtering of both transformer and turbine mineral oils up to

the parameters as follows:

residual air content as per IEC 567 smaller 0,1%;

nitrogen content 8±0,5%;

residual water content as per IEC 733 smaller

10 ppm;

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least:

–/14/12;

content of mechanical particles smaller 10 g/t;

Distinguishing feature of the plants of ETMA UVS and ETMA UVSE types is that the plants perform drying of

highly water charged oils, for instance turbine oils with humidity content up to 0,5% (5 000 ppm).

The Plants of ETMA FUM types, ETMA FTO filters

ETMA FTO filters and the Plants of ETMA FUM types are intended for filtering of transformer, turbine, cable,

industrial and other mineral oils up to the parameters as follows:

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least: –/14/12;

content of mechanical particles smaller 10 g/t;

rated filter fineness 3, 5, 25 and 50 micron (depending on the requirements per class cleanliness according to

ISO 4406).

The Plants can be supplied with oil pump (the Plants ETMA FUM-А) or without it (the Plants ETMA FUM-P).

In the Plants ETMA FUM-А ver.1 additionally the oil heater is installed for oil viscosity reduction through its

heating. Oil heater capacity is from 10 to 40 kW, heating method: direct (strip oil heater), indirect heater (micaceous

laminate heating elements, located in the pipes).3Oil capacity (throughput capacity) of the filters and Plants is from 3,6 to 20 m /h.

ETMA NTML and ETMA NTM Plants

The Plants of ETMA NTML and ETMA NTM types provide heating

up to 85 (95)°С and filtering of transformer, turbine and other mineral oils.

In accordance of heating method the Plants are manufactured with

direct heating (strip heating element – ETMA NTML Plants) and with

indirect heating (ETMA NTM Plants). The capacity of the Plants from 15 to 340 m /h.

The Plants provide:

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least: –/14/12;

content of mechanical particles smaller 10 g/t;

rated filter fineness 5 (20) micron.

Depending on the type, the Plants can have oil heater capacity 80,

120, 160, 200 и 240 kW.

The Plants can be used for heating of active part of the power

transformers and reactors by blow-spray techniques. In such a case the

Plants are delivered with Oil-spray system.

ETMA URTM Plants

The Plants of ETMA URTM types are intended for regeneration, drying and filtering of transformer oils. The

Plants after regeneration provide the oil characteristics as follows:

Dielectric Dissipation Factor according to IEC 247 at 90°С smaller 0,5%;

Neutralization number according to IEC 296 smaller 0,01 mg КОN/g;

Oxidation stability according to IEC 74: neutralization number after oxidation not more than 0,2 mg КОN/g,

mass residue content – absence;

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least: –/16/13;

content of mechanical particles smaller 20 g/t.

If the thermal vacuum unit of oil treatment is included into the Plant, then the Plant provides additional

characteristics of transformer oils as follows:

residual air content according to IEC 567 smaller 0,1%;

nitrogen content 8±0,5%;

residual water content according to IEC 733 smaller 10 ppm;

class cleanliness according to ISO 4406 at least: –/14/12;

content of mechanical particles smaller 10 g/t;

rated filter fineness 5 (20, 50) micron;

breakdown voltage according to IEC 156 more than 60 kV.

Power supply Standard:3

capacity in the mode of oil transfer, heating and filtering – more than 3 m /h;3

capacity in the mode of oil regeneration and filtering – more than 1 m /h;3

capacity in the mode of drying, air removal and oil filtering – more than 1,2 m /h;

sorbent – multiple-use activated alumina according to special technology (no less than 400 recovery cycles);

oil regeneration loss – smaller 0,5%;

oil heater 2х20=40 kW with automatic control of oil temperature;2

specific surface capacity of oil heater – up to 1,2 W/sm .

Sorbent recovery is performed without its extraction out from adsorbents by means of heat treatment with

required air delivery, providing economical recovery mode. The Plant provides three-stage air filtration system.

The Plants are completed with ionol preparation unit and thermal vacuum oil preparation unit. Ionol preparation

unit provides preparation of 20% ionol solution with its subsequent introduction into transformer oil till concentration

within the range of 0,2-0,3%.

The Plants are made as metal heat-insulating container, inside of which the equipment has been assembled.

Operator's place is provided.

Plants «ETMA Iney»

The Plants «ETMA Iney» are designed for thermal vacuum drying of hard insulation of power transformers and

reactors with voltage 110-1150 kV, tanks of which withstand long vacuum 0,4 mbar.

The Plants can be used for vacuum pumping of electrical equipment tanks and sealed vacuum systems of large

volume (for instance, at drying and regeneration of hard insulation by blow-spray techniques).

Depending on the type, the Plants provide: 3

suction capacity of the main vacuum pump (vacuum pump Roots) 630÷2000 m /h;3

suction capacity of the vacuum pump for preliminary rarefaction 200÷630 m /h;

residual pressure being created with the main vacuum pump 0,01 mbar.

Low-temperature freezing trap as a part of the Plants, consists of the stand-alone refrigerating unit on the base of

compressor equipment and has the characteristics as follows:

temperature on freezing out surface - minus 70°С;2

area of freezing out surface more than 6,1 m ;

refrigerating unit capacity – 7,5 kg moisture per day;

thawing of the unit for moisture freezing out – automatic.

Plants «ETMA Suhovey»

(cont inuous dry air supply with capacity of 3150÷300 m /h and built-in device of continuous dew

point temperature control)

Plant «ETMA Suhovey-6»

The Plants «ETMA Suhovey» are designed for

drying (up to dew point temperature at least minus 50°С)

and purification from the mechanical air impurities, used for

blowing with dry and purified air of the tanks of power

transformers and reactors for purpose of protection of hard

insulation against humidification during depressurization of

active part.

The Plants can be applied for recovery (drying) of

synthetic adsorbents (silica gel, zeolite, aluminum oxide

etc.), used in the other technological equipment, as well as

for cooling regenerated adsorbent with dry air.

The Plants are manufactured with capacity of 3150÷300 m /h, cycling or continuous duty. The Plants are

completed with the device of continuous measurement of

dew point temperature.

The units provide storage and filling-in of degassed transformer oils

into high-voltage feeds.

Storage life of degassed oil is no less than 15 days.

Accumulator tank volume 8, 12, 19, 25 and 40 l.

The units for filling-in of feeds of ETMA PDV type

They provide transfer of mineral oils, with density of not more than 3 -6 21200 kg/m , kinematic viscosity up to 40х10 m /s and temperature from

minus 50 to 120°С.

The pumps ETMA CGE do not have end sliding shaft seals providing

total air-tightness. The pumps are manufactured with capacity from 1 to 350 m /h and head up to 50 m.

Depending on the Purchaser's requirements complex Plants can be manufactured, providing part or complex of

all the process operations required at erection, maintenance and repair of the power transformers and reactors.

The plants ETMA UVM, ETMA UVS, ETM UVSE, ETMA NTML, ETMA NTM, ETMA URTM, «ETMA Iney»,

«ETMA Suhovey» etc. can be manufactured with automatic control. In this case the Plant control is carried out with help

of hardware and software system on the base of controller and color touch-control operator's switchboard with size of

10 or 15″. Hardware and software system provides manual and automatic Plant control.

Control of oil pumps, vacuum pumps, oil heater, air heaters and other elements is performed with starters

through controller. Depending on the control mode having been selected closing (opening) of the valves is performed

manually with touch-control board or in the automatic mode at preselected program of the appropriate mode.

Manual control. Operator has possibility to control actuators of the plant (pumps, valves, haters etc.) directly from

the operator's switchboard. With this parameter check when the Plant operating in this mode is carried out by the

operator.

For instance, for the Plants ETMA URTM the operator's switchboard with control circuit will be shown as follows:

Аutomatic control. Operator should select one of the Plant operation modes, after which the Plant self-performs

selected mode and disconnected after preselected criteria of the work completion (time, quantity of used oil etc.). At

automatic control all the parameters required to perform the selected mode are maintained automatically. When

deviating of the parameters from the set ones, or when finishing of the Plant operation, the appropriate messages are

being formed on the operator's switchboard, being duplicated with audio alarm.

At both manual and automatic control, visualization of the process parameters is carried out directly from the

operator's switchboard.

Hydraulic equipment is designed for lifting and horizontal relocation of heavy-weight equipment, namely for

lifting and movement by slide rails of transformers, reactors and other electrical equipment while performing of erection

works, maintenance and repairs.

Main characteristics of hydraulic equipment:

Lifting force up to 4х50=200, 4х63=256, 4х100=400 и 4х200=800 tf;

усилие перемещения до 2х25=50, 4х20=80 tf.

NSP Pumping Stations

Pumping Stations are designed for actuator of hydraulic jacks and hydraulic pushers while lifting and horizontal

relocation of heavy-weight equipment.

Pumping Stations can be manufactured with the unit of differential control of hydraulic fluid supply to the jacks.

Pumping Stations with electric drive are manufactured:

for relocation – with capacity up to 19 l/min and process pressure up to 20 MPa;

for lifting – with capacity up to 5 l/min and process pressure up to 40 MPa.

Hydraulic jacks

Hydraulic jacks are designed for lifting of heavy-weight equipment

as part of facilities for erection of heavy-weight equipment.

The jacks are manufactured for load capacitance 40, 63, 100 и 200

tf (at pressure of the pumping station 40 MPa). Version of jacks: with

return, without return.

Hydraulic pushers

They are designed for horizontal relocation of heavy-weight

equipment by rails.

Rated movement force of the pusher ETMA TG-20/500 – 20 tf,

pusher from the device ETMA PGT-1М – 25 tf (at pressure 20 MPa),

movement distance 500 mm and 710 mm accordingly.
