IN WORSHIP! Beyond Crayons and Cheerios: Did you know

that Africa is home to 435 million kids under the age of 14. If each

of the 322 million people In the U.S. packed a gift –filled shoebox,

Operation Christmas Child still would not reach all of the boys and

girls in Africa. Packing shoeboxes teaches us about the importance of giving to others in

the Name of Jesus. In the transept area, at the welcome center you will find a coloring

page and a Let’s Be Friends Activity page. These can be meaningful additions to your shoe

box. Practice Sermon Sitting and talk about these topics this week; when was the first

time you were a Good Samaritan to someone you did not know? When was the last time

someone you did not know helped you? What are some reasons why you think people do

not help others in need?

Read Luke 10: 25-37. Find the words “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
