Hello Members! We have had a very busy first half of the year with the fabulous events our Ways & Means Committee has brought to the organization! The bowling event was so much fun! Our gracious sponsors and business partners sponsored lanes and provided great door prizes. Coins were handed out to the bowler who made a strike. We had some league bowlers and they went away winners for sure! The fashion show was held the first weekend of June. Wow, is all I can say! We had Realtors, business partners, and sponsors modeling anywhere from casual up to formal. They were really sporting some fabulous clothes, which looked as though they were hand tailored for each! Your participation was so appreciated. A portion of the proceeds are being donated to Tidewell Hospice. And let’s not forget the wonderful display of Chinese Auction items that were certainly a hit! Lots of lucky winners left with smiles on their faces! Four of the line officers travelled to Washington, DC for the NAR Convention. Sheila and I attended the Realtor Rally held at the Washington Monument. An amazing show of enthusiasm and positive vibes travelled over the crowd of around 15,000. The meetings were very informative. Round table discussions with other chapters helped to spur ideas to bring back to our local chapters and put them to the test! Spread the word about Women’s Council. The relationships that are built are for life. The professionalism brought about by WCR only strengthens when you can sit across the closing table knowing the deal went through smoothly. Have a great summer! All the best! IPADS, WHAT THEY CAN DOR YOUR BOTTOM LINE!
Buyers and Sellers today have iPads or notebook computers. They can do a lot of research on them before they even see you. They are very familiar with the Realtor.com app, where they can find open houses in the area, homes for sale and homes sold. Don’t be left behind by not having the latest technology. Other apps Peter discussed were Drop Box and Evernote among others. He compared the iPad to the ASUS, explained the differences. Bottom line, buy what you will use.

Registration You'll need to have your NRDS ID handy to complete your registration.
Tips for a Smooth Registration When registering for the conference, be sure to mark "WCR" as your primary affiliation. Women's Council receives a portion of each registration marked "WCR." This helps to cover costs and gives you access to the Women's Council hotel room block. Be sure to share this information with other agents in your office and members of your chapter. You will be given two options when registering. The "WCR Only" $320 registration fee gives you access to Women's Council education and programming (excluding ticketed events), as well as the EXPO. The "FULL Conference" registration fee gives you access to ALL NAR and Women's Council education and programming (excluding ticketed events). Choose the "WCR Only" registration if you're NOT planning to attend NAR programming, want to support Women's Council and save $50. Note that registrations that are called into Experient are not handled as quickly as online registrations. If you call to register, you could be on hold for an extended period of time. To book a room at the Hilton Orlando, you must mark "WCR" as your primary affiliation.

REALTORS® Discover Your Magic 5K Run/Walk Thursday, November 8, 2012 (Warm-up is at 6:30 a.m., and the race starts at 7:00 a.m.) Location: Start/finish at the Hilton Orlando Start your morning off right with this 5k run/walk. For those who just want to enjoy the Florida fresh air, it's a perfect way to start the day! There is no cost for the run/walk, however you must register to participate. Everyone is welcome to sign up. Registration is limited to the first 350 runners/walkers, so be sure to sign up early. Advance sign up begins August 1, 2012.
Women's Council Expo Booth Volunteer Opportunity Women's Council will be exhibiting at the Trade Expo in Orlando. We will be looking for members to represent Women's Council at our trade show booth. This is an excellent opportunity to serve Women's Council at the national level and network with real estate professionals from around the country. If you'd like to volunteer for a 1.5- to 2-hour shift, please contact [email protected] for more information.
Chapter Sales Tables On August 1st, Women's Council will begin accepting orders for Chapter Sales Tables. Tables will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. You may also purchase a table onsite at Women's Council's Registration desk while supplies last. Table price: $20

We had a very nice New Member Orientation this past Monday evening, unfortunately not all of our new members were able to attend, but, the ones that were there were given a hearty welcome from current members. New members are: Diana De Yampert, Roger Morris, Rick Page, Genny Ramachadran, Sandra Wertz, John Macy, Larry Love, Brian Scott, Joanne Reid and Carlene Zeches and Pat Padget. I realize that you have met these individuals previously at our monthly Breakfast Resource Meeting, but, these are the ones that have joined since the beginning of this year and we wanted to acknowledge them. New Member Orientation is done twice a year and this was our first one of the year with another one being done in later part of October.
