Wayne and Val Dirks serve with Wycliffe Bible Translators
Please pray for: their daughter, Kara as she heads to NLBC to
work in the kitchen this summer. the transition of the Mbam cluster project
from oral storytelling to written translation. They need to find suitable terms for key Biblical concepts.
a new office administrator in Val’s department. our website. That it gets finished and that the
finance issues get sorted out. a new manager for Wayne’s department. their son, David who graduating this year, as
he makes plans for his future. Praise the Lord for good health this winter. We thank the Lord for a fun spring break. One
of our supporters gave us a week at their time-share in Banff.

Senior Youth Group (gr. 9-12): Wednesdays, 6:30-8:30 pm in the Youth Centre. Designed to be a place where teens can have fun together while growing in community with one another and experiencing how God changes lives.
Junior Youth Group (gr. 6-8): Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 pm in the Youth Centre. A fun place where young teens can find a sense of belonging while discovering more about God, faith, and life.
Parents and Tots Playgroup: This weekly drop-in playgroup for parents and their babies, toddlers and preschoolers meets every Friday from 9:30-11:30 am in the Preschool Room (room 107). For more information, please contact Dorianna Hoekstra at 250 563 0292 or [email protected].
Celebrate Recovery: Are you struggling with a hurt, habit or hang-up? Join us every Friday at 7:00 pm in the Learning Centre for this Christ-centered recovery ministry. Questions? Contact Barbara Croome (250 563 9959).
Congregational Meeting Update: On April 26, it was affirmed that all leadership positions at Westwood be open to men and women. Employment Opportunity: Two chairhandlers are needed immediately to help with set up and take down of chairs and tables for events. Applicants should be 19 years of age or older, and be able to work flexible hours. Devotions and Prayer: Everyone is invited for a time of devotions and prayer on Tuesday, May 12 from 10-11:45 am in the Learning Centre.
Relief and Hygiene Kits: The need is great. Mennonite Central Committee needs supplies for relief and hygiene kits that are distributed to people displaced by war and natural disasters. Thailand Trek Day Camp: Many hands will be needed to help with the Cross Culture Thailand Trek Day camp for kids that will held July 6-10 at the church.
