PART ONE : ORGANISATION PROFILE Founded: 1986

Goal: To improve living standards and promote social justice, equality and harmony among the grassroots people of Bushenyi by partnering with others regardless of their race, creed or political persuasion.

Vision: “A society that promotes environmental and ecologically-sound best practices for natural resource management and sustainable development.”

Mission: “To serve as a partnership workshop” for sustainable development and community transformation.

community members.

Strategies Assessing psychological needs of affected persons, and assisting them

to form support groups. Providing counseling and psychological support to affected persons. Helping widows and orphans to get legal support. Providing therapeutic training on coping strategies. Organizing entertainment for grieving individuals. Promoting income generating activities for grieving persons. Promoting spiritual and traditional healing for grieving persons.

scheme. Agricultural, value addition and market research. Rural livelihoods advocacy: lobbying government, CSOs and other

stakeholders. Promoting good nutritional practices Helping vulnerable groups ensure food security.

services, particularly health, education, water and sanitation.

Strategies Supporting Water, School and Health Committees to perform their roles. Promoting rain-water harvesting. School infrastructure construction. Operating a vocational training institute. Research: human rights and good governance promotion; child protection.

Community education on human rights, civic duties and good governance. Education and health rights advocacy. Adding Value to herbal medicine. Providing medical treatment with both herbal and western medicine. Research on mosquito repellents.
