Keeping your children healthy and not missing school

is an important job. Most illnesses can be prevented

by teaching your child how to wash their hands

correctly. You need soap, water and at least 20

seconds. You can talk to your child about where

germs are found in your house (pets, doorknobs,

etc.) and why it is important to wash. Remind

children to wash before eating, after the restroom

and after playing with children or animals. A fun way

to keep children interested in washing their hands

for 20 seconds is to have them sing a song while

washing like the one found in this book.

Manteniendo a sus niños sanos y sin faltar a la escuela

es un trabajo importante. La mayoría de las

enfermedades se pueden prevenir enseñando a su niño

cómo lavarse las manos correctamente. Usted necesita

jabón, agua y por lo menos 20 segundos. Usted puede

hablar con su niño sobre dónde se encuentran los

gérmenes en su casa (animales domésticos, manijas, etc.)
