• The teacher will pose a question and play some music. Students will walk around the room and reflect on their answer. When the music stops they will high fives the student closest to them and then share their answer. If both students agree, they will stand face to face. If they disagree they will stand back and back.

“create your own Middle East country” performance task in class using resources Social Studies textbook, workbooks. Computer and/or notes and their own creativity. The student will be given a performance task checklist to follow as they move through the steps of creating their own culture.

Closing• Students will use their

checklist and rubric to do a self assessment to determine if they have all elements needed for standard mastery.
