06. LARRY POOLE – My name is Larry Poole. I am a proud member of SAG-AFTRA. I am running for office as a local board member. As a working actor, I have had experience performing in commercials, on television, feature films and on stage. I

have been involved in many aspects of the film and entertainment industry both behind and in front of the camera. I look forward to being an active participant in working with my peers, helping to strengthen the Union and the film industry in San Diego and California. Thank you for your consideration and your vote.

07. LORENZO RODRIGUEZ – Lorenzo Rodriguez is running for local board member and convention delegate. He has been acting for over 30 years. His experience with SAG-AFTRA is San Diego Branch council member 2004-12, conservatory chairman

2005-12, National conservatory member and Spanish language media committee. SAG-AFTRA convention delegate to the national convention 2013 in Los Angeles thank you for your vote. Lorenzo Rodriguez

08. LOU SLOCUM – Last year’s passage of the Film and Television Tax Credit Program (AB 1839) has already resulted in production coming back to California. And local government’s recent proposal to fund a regional film office is poised to bring work back to San Diego. As a

union actor since 1995, I want to keep the momentum going by working with the production community and my fellow members to promote SAG-AFTRA-sanctioned jobs. With your support, I will push for our inclusion in TV, film and voiceover work. The dedication to our craft deserves the ability to make a living wage.

10. RUTH STEHLE – This is the best time in our lives! We have the opportunity to be a part of the present, future and history of SAG/AFTRA. We are truly a sisterhood and brotherhood of members who deserve the opportunity to pursue our dreams and goals. If I am

elected to office, I will lobby to get more work here in this beautiful city of ours. I have been a member of our organization since 1993 and I have seen the challenges and changes in our union and I am sure many more will come. Faith, Hope and Unity. Thank you, Ruth Stehle

11. RAIN CLAIR THOMAS – My name is Rain Clair Thomas, after serving in the United State Navy as a Broadcast Journalist & Public Affairs Specialist (JO) I moved to California to follow my passion for entertaining. I'm privileged to do what I love, acting and performing

burlesque. I attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and joined SAG-AFTRA in 2012. In addition, I run a successful tattoo shop with my wonderful husband. We are also parents of a rowdy toddler. I look forward to serving you on the board of San Diego SAG-AFTRA. I will bring my dedication, passion and communications and business savvy!

01. MARTIN C. ALVILLAR – Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your president for the past two years. I am looking forward to serving another term and representing the members of San Diego. As an actor and stunt performer, I understand the needs of actors and will represent you to the best of my ability. I have been a member for 15 years, on the board for 7 years, and president since 2010. The merger of SAG-AFTRA has brought many challenges and I have faced these challenges. I am proud of our accomplishments and will continue serving you, the members of SAG-AFTRA.

02. SANDRA J. BUEHNER – San Diego is unique, as we no longer have a film commission. Until we have support to bring more union work to town, the best we can hope for is to encourage our local production companies to shoot union. If elected President of the Local, I intend to offer training on how to turn that nonunion project into a union project. We need to bring more educational opportunities to our local and find more ways to mix and grow together. Our union is only strong if we stay united.

President - 2 year termVote for no more than one (1).

03. CASEY ROBINSON – As a board member, I worked to provide more support and services for our Local members. I helped create a monthly mixer for members to meet and network to make things happen here in San Diego, and we now have a newsletter specifically for San Diego information and events. I want to continue this progress and feel I can do more as Vice President and a convention delegate. My ongoing mission is to bring work back to our city and return to the days when San Diego was a thriving film community – please give me the opportunity to make this happen!

05. THOMAS WIRTH – As a working actor I saw the benefits of unions. I joined SAG-AFTRA and the camaraderie helped ease the sacrifice and struggle we give to become a professional actor. We must continue to support our San Diego Local in order to strengthen our beliefs and goals. The merger allowed us to retain a board, revised constitution and seek employment outside of San Diego. I’ve served you from volunteer, committees, council and board, vice president, president, delegate, under SAG-AFTRA over four decades. I want to continue representing you as Vice President and delegate. In return I will give you perseverance and dedication through integrity.
