The University of Victoria Vikes Hockey Club are gearing up for their tenth season in the British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL).
The Vikes are excited to begin competition after another successful campaign that saw them fall in a tight semi-final playoff series to the eventual league champions, Selkirk College. Although the Vikes were unable to claim their ultimate goal of winning a fourth provincial championship, the team continues to make strides this off season to ensure that we will again contend for the BCIHL championship in 2015/2016.

The UVic Hockey Club is a student-led Sports Club at the University of Victoria. The club gives student-athletes the opportunity to pursue a University education while continuing to fulfill their passion for the game of hockey.
Our players have opted to make school their number one priority and the goal of our club and the BC Intercollegiate Hockey League is to allow them to do so, while competing at a high level.
Individually, the club provides a platform for students to demonstrate their talents while helping them develop lifelong skills such as teamwork, dedication, time management, leadership and organization.
The Hockey Club offers quality entertainment and thereby creates positive experiences for all stakeholders and consistently produces the best hockey experience possible. Your support ensures that the UVic Hockey Club will continue to be a positive contributor to student athletes and the Greater Victoria community.

The University of Victoria Vikes Hockey Club are comprised of thirty players from all over Canada and employs over twenty staff and volunteers. As the team continues to grow and expand it is important that we also continue to build strong, mutually beneficial relationships with our sponsors to ensure successful seasons and a stronger ability to meet our sponsors needs. These relationships will increase the benefits and desirability of contributing to our cause and organization. We are also able to offer charitable receipts for all donations made to our Organization. The University of Victoria Hockey program looks forward to continued success in 2015/2016.

The British Columbia Intercollegiate Hockey League (BCIHL) was created with the purpose of offering a venue for student athletes coming from leagues such as the WHL, BCHL, AJHL, SJHL, MJHL, KIJHL, PIJHL, VIJHL and many others.
The BCIHL was launched in 2006 and now includes five member teams: Eastern Washington University, Selkirk College, Simon Fraser University, Trinity Western University and the University of Victoria.
SFU and TWU are the first BCIHL teams to face off against NCAA Division I and CIS competition. Since then, inter-league play with NCAA, CIS and ACAC teams has become a normal part of the season for the teams.
BCIHL teams play a 24-game regular season schedule. The top four teams then face-off in the BCIHL playoffs throughout March.
