City, STATE (Month Date, Year) – Discover the unique history of the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) in theaters this fall during the Appalachian Trail Conservancy’s (ATC) fourth annual Membership Drive, Relive the Legacy. This year’s event will showcase the never-before-seen film “The Appalachian Trail: An American Legacy” in five different locations while working to gain the support of 2,180 new members, one new member for each mile of the A.T.

Directed by Sam Henegar, “The Appalachian Trail: An American Legacy” uses footage and photography from a variety of sources, including the ATC’s archives, to tell the rich history of the A.T. Learn about the visionaries and the founders who devoted their lives to the Trail’s establishment, hear hikers discuss their life-altering experiences and learned lessons, and leave excited to be a part of a growing A.T. community.

Show participants will receive a one-year membership or gift membership to the ATC and will also have the chance to win limited-edition prizes like an ATC-branded ENOTM Hammock. In addition, each tour stop will feature guest speakers, including 2,000-milers.

“The Appalachian Trail Conservancy is excited to host this membership drive as it offers a unique opportunity to connect the community with this American icon—the Appalachian Trail,” said Javier Folgar, director of Marketing and Communications at the ATC. “It offers participants a chance to view an incredible film and to hear the stories of the people who volunteer, maintain, hike and protect the Trail.”
