Multistrand Earrings with Cones 1. For multiple strand dangle earrings, string beads on bead thread. String beads from top to bottom, pass the thread through small bead at bottom to form stopper, then bring back up again through other beads. 2. Tie threads from all strands together at top of beads. Coat knot with bead tip cement. When dry, snip off excess thread. 3. With round nose pliers, open the eye on an eyepin (enlarging eye if necessary), and hook it through the strands and around the knot. Close eye and slide a decorative cone down over it and the knot. 4. Holding cone firmly down over knot, use pliers to bend eyepin and make a loop as described for Basic Dangle Earrings. Hook loop through ring of earwire or earclip. Finishing Necklaces and Bracelets with Cones Use the same technique when finishing a multistrand necklace or bracelet. 1. When using bead wire, string all your beads and crimp each strand individually to an eyepin. 2. If using bead thread, string all your beads and then knot each strand to eyepin. 3. When each strand is attached to the eyepin, slide the cone over the eyepin, hiding the ends of strands. 4. Holding cone firmly down over the eyepin, use pliers to bend eyepin and make a loop as described for Basic Dangle Earrings. Hook loop through ring of clasp.
