Feeding calves is heavy physical work, and moving 100 kg or more sev-eral times a day is not an infrequent occurrence. Coping with inclines, rough terrain, or ice and snow during the winter is especially difficult. So it‘s a good thing that Urban has a MilkShuttle for this. The electri-cally powered MilkShuttle lets you transport milk conveniently with-out effort, making even long distances to the calves‘ pen a snap.

Feed easily –Without force and strain“This will make your back happy!” The effort you must make while feeding is drastically re-duced by the electric drive of the MilkShuttle. The drive and large tyres help you reach your calves effortless through snow and slush as well as overcome inclines.

The long wheel base 1 and the low centre of gravity lets you move the MilkShuttle even in rough terrain without danger of tipping over. Since the MilkShuttle has a three-wheel design, it is very ma-noeuverable and has excellent traction - even when the ground is slushy and when travelling over ice and snow.

Two-stage agitator 2 for fresh milk or calf milk replacer (CMR) (700 or 1400 rpm, 0.37 kW). When using milk replacer, the high-speed agitator en-sures the milk powder is mixed quickly and without clumps. When using whole milk, the fresh milk to be fed is treated gently by the slow speed of the agitator. There are no sealing problems because the motor is installed at the top.

The integrated heater 3 ensures the feed has the optimal temperature. An interval timer for the agi-tator prevents the milk from burning.

The control panel 4 has a straightforward arrange-ment and is extremely easy to use. It provides a quick overview of all important data, such as the set-point and actual temperature of the milk, the operating times for the stirring intervals or the charge condition of the battery.

The following functionality is available:

· Issue of a milk portion at the push of a button, whereby three different random quantities can be programmed and selected.

· Heating of the milk at any starting time (mornings or evenings), whereby three different pairs of start-ing times can be programmed and selected.

· Rinsing program with prior heating of the rinsing water,

· Freely programmable stirring and pause intervals during heating and rinsing.

The ergonomic, height-adjustable handle of the drawbar head 5 has two separate speed and direction control-lers arranged to the right and left. This lets the operator walk on the left or right of the MilkShuttle while dosing out. A manual brake is not necessary because the Shuttle simply remains standing even on steep slopes when the controller is released. The feed portion can be dosed out by the lever of the pump nozzle, or also expeditiously by using the switch at the drawbar head.

Lockable lid with seal 6 which prevents the milk from spilling over. In the container, the indestructible quantity scale 7 serves to reliably read the liquid quantity.

Ergonomically shaped pump nozzle 8 for issuing feed. A quantity can be either pre-selected or tapped in the manner of a petrol pump.

Strong electric motor: 9 The propelling drive is infinitely variable and adjusts to your walking speed.
