Stage 1 treatment and hydration

• Immediately after harvest- flowers have been cut from their natural

source of nutrients and hydration.

– The goal is to treat the cut flower in order to:

• inhibit potential attacks on the flower from external forces

• prevent the stems from drying up

• Keep the stems unclogged so they can soak up nutrients,

treatments and water to keep hydrated and healthy
