We read many fiction and non-fiction books about pumpkins. We read The Bumpy Little Pumpkin and practiced recalling events from the story. We learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin from reading From seed to Pumpkin and noticed how similar it was to an apple’s life. We also learned about what plants need to grow.
