Week in ReviewOur pumpkin theme this week proved to be lots of fun! Did you know some pumpkins can be white, red or blue, the biggest pumpkin weighed over 1,000 pounds and pumpkins can float? Our Scholastic News is full of fun facts about pumpkins! We read many fiction and non-fiction books about pumpkins. We read The Bumpy Little Pumpkin and practiced recalling events from the story. We learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin from reading From seed to Pumpkin and noticed how similar it was to an apple’s life. We also learned about what plants need to grow.
