We read many fiction and non-fiction books about pumpkins. One of our favorites was “Spookley, the Legend of the Square Pumpkin”. After reading we made our own Spookley’s and wrote to describe what they looked like. We also read “The Bumpy Little Pumpkin” and practiced recalling events from the story. We learned all about the life cycle of a pumpkin and noticed how similar it was to an apple’s life. We also learned about what plants need to grow. We have been working hard at practicing our play lines for our fall plays next week.

Week in reviewOur pumpkin theme this week proved to be lots of fun! We read many fiction and non-fiction books about pumpkins. One of our favorites was “Spookley, the Legend of the Square Pumpkin”.
