American View• Bring democracy &

Soviet View• Satellite Nations:

countries subject to Soviet domination

• Nations would be loyal to communist goals

• USSR gained control over almost all Eastern European nations & installed Communism

UNITED NATIONS

• International peacekeeping organization similar to the League of Nations
