An Educational PartnershipBellevue University offers undergraduate business and professional degree programs through online learning. Degrees are offered in Business, Business Analysis and Management, Leadership, Management of Human Resources, Marketing Management, and Management. Through The College Network™, students are provided with Comprehensive Learning Modules™ and academic support that will enable them to attain college-level credit that can be transferred to Bellevue University. Once a student is accepted to Bellevue University, courses will be available online or in class.

Bellevue University’s Cohort ApproachBellevue University offers the business program in a cohort-based format. Upon enrolling, you will be assigned to a group of students with similar professional and work experience who will become your

“cohorts.” You will move through the entire degree program with your cohort group, completing all of your online courses with the same students. This approach allows you to build engaging relationships with your cohorts and allows you to solidify the knowledge gained from your courses through interaction with others. In the courses where you have related experience, your presence and support will be a great benefit to other students. You also will learn from the work and life experience of your cohorts. Each course builds upon the previous course, allowing you to refer to discussions from past courses to enhance your learning.

The following degree descriptions offer snapshots of the degree for these particular areas of study. Students must complete a total of 127 credit hours for a degree.

Bachelor of Science in Business

The Business program is offered in an accelerated, cohort-based format. The program emphasizes techniques, procedures, and methods for managing the technical functions of business. Topics include: information management, operations and production, economics and marketing, finance and accounting, and law and ethics. The program is offered in-class and online.

Bachelor of Science in Business Analysis and Management

The Business Analysis and Management (BAMC) cohort offers courses for a student to gain considerable knowledge and application in a business analyst role. A business analyst acts as a liaison between business people who have a business problem and technology people who know how to create automated solutions. A business analyst’s main responsibility is to gather, analyze, and document requirements in a format that is useful to their business stakeholders and the technical developers. The courses offered in the BAMC cohort are designed to provide the necessary insights for the student to learn the business and leadership functions of a business analyst in the form of gathering and analyzing requirements, mapping business processes that help define the business, and understanding the technology that drives the projects in the business environment.

Bachelor of Arts in Leadership

The undergraduate Leadership Major provides students with knowledge and skills that enhance their understanding and practice of leadership as it relates to individuals, groups, and organizations. Students will learn how to diagnose leadership problems and recommend appropriate solutions that are based on sound theoretical concepts and practitioner level principles. This is accomplished through the study of personal power, interpersonal dynamics, decision-making, communication, and social psychology. Students also will be exposed to frameworks for promoting and developing ethical leadership in personal and organizational contexts.

This program prepares students for the Professional in Human Resource (PHR) Certification examination. The program is offered in-class and online.

Prerequisites for Degree Programs*Once your application is complete, Bellevue University evaluates your entire application to arrive at an admission decision.

Application Requirements:1. The applicant must possess an associate’s degree or have completed 60 semester hours with a grade of “C” or

higher from an accredited institution of higher learning. Copies of transcripts or diplomas must be submitted for assessment. (Bellevue University will accept transcripts from The College Network.) Student copies are acceptable for preliminary evaluation; however, official transcripts are required and should be ordered as soon as possible.

2. Bellevue University recommends that the applicant be currently employed for at least 30 hours per week in a work setting where the academic content of the major can be applied.

3. The applicant must submit a complete application for admission, signed and accompanied by a $50 processing fee.

Students meeting all the above mentioned qualifications will be granted full admission. Applicants not meeting the qualifications will be considered by the Admissions and Standards Committee, which may approve exceptions on an individual basis. Applicants will be notified of the committee’s decision.
