My Morning Jacket are set to return May 4th

with their seventh full‐length album, The Waterfall . Recorded in Stinson Beach CA, The

Waterfall is the band’s first release on the Capitol imprint and the follow‐up to their GRAMMY®‐nominated Circuital , which was ranked

among 2011’s best albums by publications such as Rolling Stone, Paste, MOJO, and Uncut.

My Morning Jacket also announced an extensive North American and European tour dates in support of the new album, which will see

them headline Governors Ball and Bonnaroo stateside in advance of their only presently‐announced Canadian date June 7 at Toronto’s

Field Trip festival.

are

moments

that

reach

back

to

early

albums

such

as

2001’s

gave the band a much broader audience. But the experimentation that marked 2004’s Z , 2008’s Evil Urges and James’ 2013 solo album

fervent music fans in search of that tingle up the spine. Inveterate music geeks will hear echoes of vintage rock and pop as MMJ

continues to honour its influences without aping any of them; The Waterfall sounds like nothing else but also warmly familiar.

“Out of all the places we’ve recorded, I think that place might have informed the record on a spiritual level more than any other,” adds

Koster. “If you listen to ‘Like A River,’ it just sounds like Stinson Beach.”

Toronto axe‐master supergroup C & C Surf Factory brings their salty, scrappy instrumental surf rock off the stage and

into the studio with Garage City , the debut album, coming April 14, 2015 on Six Shooter Records.

Garage City is not all sun and sand – C & C Surf Factory’s take is edgier and grittier than you might expect. Songs like

“Cobra Basket” and “Fire on the Dance Floor” have sharp edges and dark corners, and live closer to the White Stripes

than the Beach Boys. “Belt Buckle” is a trippy, swirling slow burn, and conjures more “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

than it does “Wipe Out.”

C & C Surf Factory filters the best of 60s surf style ‐ think wet reverb, Fender amps and a stable of electric guitars ‐

through the modern‐day guitar wizardry and unimpeachable cool of founding members Colin Cripps (Blue Rodeo,

Kathleen Edwards) and Champagne James Robertson (Lindi Ortega, New Country Rehab). The two began working on

instrumental guitar pieces in 2012, and took the project in a direction sharply away from the world of roots, country

and blues of their main gigs.

Why surf rock? The genre spotlights the guitar as a melodic instrument, which provided two of Canada’s most in‐

demand slingers the irresistible opportunity to obsess over tone, history, playing styles and obscure musical acts

(Hank Marvin and the Shadows and the Ventures, for example). “Ultimately, the direction was a byproduct of our love

for low‐end twang and a common interest in wanting to play songs without words,” says Champagne James.

C & C Surf Factory has grown to include Sly Juhas on drums, Ryan Gavel on bass (P Bass, naturally), and Chris Stringer

on keys and percussion. The band played shows in between busy touring and recording schedules, and quickly becam

a hot ticket at Toronto’s best music hangs.

Now, with Garage City , a retro, but not rose‐coloured, collection of beach vibes and vibrato, C & C Surf Factory officiall

joins the Six Shooter roster, where musical excellence of all stripes finds a home.

Every now and then a band comes along and speaks to the hearts of kids everywhere, as the true voice of their community. Teenage

Bottlerocket is that band in the punk rock community right now. The band’s anthemic punk rock classics quickly catapulted them to the

top of the scene, and before long the bands who inspired them had become their peers. In an age when overnight internet sensations

are an everyday occurrence, it’s hard to find a band that’s grown organically, the old fashioned way; by word of mouth and non‐stop

touring, while winning kids over one show at a time. Since 2001, Teenage Bottlerocket has been busy touring the world over with the

likes of NOFX, Dropkick Murphys, Pennywise, and The Mighty Mighty Bosstones, as well as a stint on the Vans Warped Tour.

“Tales from Wyoming” is the band’s 6th full‐length album, and for this effort the band enlisted Descendents drummer and punk rock

legend, Bill Stevenson (Rise Against, NOFX, Black Flag, Descendents) to produce. The result is easily the band’s strongest material to

date. “Tales From Wyoming” is 14 fast, melodic, and catchy songs that will stay stuck in your head for months to come.

To support the release, Teenage Bottlerocket will be on tour with Pennywise, and will continue to tour relentlessly throughout the

release. Teenage Bottlerocket has found a way to both progress, while also staying true to the sound that made them so exciting in the

first place.
