ROAM are a five piece pop punk band from Eastbourne, UK, who have been working hard since forming in November 2012 to solidify

themselves as one of the most exciting bands in their genre.

The first fruits of the partnership will be a four track EP named Viewpoint, out January 26th (UK) / 27th (North America) 2015. The EP wa

recorded August 2014 with Drew Lawson (Bring Me The Horizon, Me Vs Hero, While She Sleeps) and Seb Barlow (Neck Deep), and will

followed by a full length album further into 2015. A typically unrelenting touring schedule for ROAM will include a slot supporting Man

On the subject of the EP, Alex said - A few of the songs on Viewpoint are really about looking at situations from a different side and

understanding that a lot of the time our problems get blown out of proportion. We tend to over think things a lot and it makes you lose

perspective sometimes. The concept also follows into the artwork for the record too. One side of the art shows a negative side; the side yo

sometimes get caught up in. The other shows the positive side. You could look at it from either side and see a different idea.

Back To The Roots In early 2006 Red began working on tracks for a new project. He wanted to go back to his roots and rekindle his lov

of synth based electronic music. The concept was simple, a natural journey of emotions and feelings, melodies and grooves; an

evolutionary process of musical creation. The project became Evolve, the album; HAPPY HOUR IN THE GENE POOL.

Behind The Decks After hearing a promo copy of HAPPY HOUR IN THE GENE POOL, Below Zero founder and DJ Mason Rothert

contacted Red about contributing downtempo mixed sets for his radio show. This lead in 2007 to Red becoming a resident DJ with the

show and contributing sets on a more regular basis. Red also began DJ'ing live downtempo sets for Below Zero nights at ultra lounges an

special events. As a drummer and performer Red has a natural talent for blending beats, building a set and moving a crowd. He quickly

expanded out to include more dance oriented house, deep house, tribal house and tech house sets better suited for clubs, pool parties and

larger venues.

Theodore Walter "Sonny" Rollins, born September 7, 1930,remains one of the most influential and important American Jazzmusicians of all time and is widely recognized as the finest tenor

sax player in Jazz's long history. Although now well into his 80s,Rollins continues to perform and release new recordings. Rollinswas born in New York City, to parents who were themselvesborn in the U S Virgin Islands. Rollins received his firstsaxophone at age 13, initially attracted to the jump and R&Bsounds of performers like Louis Jordan, but soon he becamedrawn into the mainstream tenor sax tradition. Rollins began tomake a name for himself in 1949 as he recorded with Johnsonand Bud Powell what would later be called "hard bop", with Davisin 1951, with the Modern Jazz Quartet and with Monk in 1953,but the breakthrough arrived in 1954 when he recorded hisfamous compositions "Oleo", "Airegin" and "Doxy" with a quintetled by Miles Davis. Rollins was invited later in 1955 to join theClifford Brown-Max Roach quintet.

13 original LPs by Clifford Brown, one of Jazz's most

influential trumpet players, compiled on a six disc set

Clifford Brown, born in October 1930, (aka "Brownie,") was an

American jazz trumpeter. He died at the tragically young age of 2

a car accident leaving behind only four years worth of recordings

Nonetheless, he had a considerable influence on later jazz trump

players, including Donald Byrd, Lee Morgan, Booker Little, andFreddie Hubbard among others. Brown moved into playing music

professionally, where he quickly became one of the most highly

regarded trumpeters in jazz. He was influenced and encouraged

Fats Navarro, sharing Navarro's virtuosic technique and brilliance

invention. His first recordings were with R&B bandleader Chris

Powell, following which he performed with Tadd Dameron, J. J.

Johnson, Lionel Hampton, and Art Blakey before forming his own

group with Max Roach. The Clifford Brown & Max Roach Quintet

was a high-water mark of the hard bop style, with nearly all mem

of the group contributing original songs. Brown's trumpet was

originally partnered with Harold Land's tenor saxophone. After La

left in 1955 in order to spend more time with his wife, Sonny Rolli

joined and remained a member of the group for the rest of its

existence. In June 1956, Brown and Richie Powell embarked on

drive to Chicago for their next appearance. While driving at night

the rain on the Pennsylvania Turnpike, west of Bedford, Powell's

Nancy lost control of the car and went off the road. All three were

killed in the resulting crash. Brown is buried in Mt. Zion Cemetery

Wilmington, Delaware.
