Twilight Quilters’ Guild of Norfolk County
Newsletter
Meeting: December 9, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.
PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE:
In all my years of being a Quilters’ Guild member I have never seen a November meeting cancelled due to snow!!! It makes me wonder what the rest of the winter will be like! The view from my basement studio windows doesn’t give me a true picture of what is really going on. In the future I will try and give a bit more notice. We had such an interesting and busy meeting planned for November, we hope we get everything covered and enjoy the Christmas festivities at our December 9th meeting. I am looking forward to Kaaren Biggs presentation. Don your festive apparel and enjoy the catered Christmas finger foods and snacks. Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas!
Terry Anderson President 2019-2021
PROGRAM – Melanie Douglas, Karen Johnstone, Vicki Harris, Maggie McEntee Our guest will be Kaaren Biggs, a member of the Norfolk County Quilters’ Guild. She will be showing us the updated version of a classic pattern. Kaaren has been a Guild Quilter for many years, in Brantford, Florida, Elliott Lake and Norfolk County Quilters’ Guild. She is an outstanding teacher and has generously shared her quilting expertise in all areas of the art with many students. Kaaren’s quilts have won many honours at the Norfolk County Fair and for many years she has developed a wonderful method of running a smooth registration for Quilt shows. Kaaren’s Sun Bonnet Sue Show is a delightful look at this Quilting Classic. MEMBERSHIP ─ Jan Grincevicius
