TRUST ISSUES IN NORTH-SOUTH PARTNERSHIPS TRUST REFLECTION SEMINAR 1.0 26th March 2015 8.30-16.15 – Lindholm Brygge 35, 9400 Nr. Sundby, Auditorium A Be part of the experiences of North and South stakeholders (students, re- searchers, Companies, NGOs, repre- sentatives from the private and public sectors) to critical panel discussions and presentations on issues of part- nerships and trust. The Danish Minister for Trade and De- velopment held a dialogue meeting 16th December 2014 with focus on in- novative partnerships to enhance both commercial interests in growth mar- kets, to create jobs in Denmark and in countries in the South, and to invite the private sector and partners to play a larger role in developing the South. The result of the meeting gave birth to an approach entitled by access2inova- tion as quadrible helix. This approach springs from an idea that companies, civil society, universities and govern- ments have common interests that can create shared value (quadrible helix). Despite this laudable initiative, there seem to be many challenges when partnerships are founded. At a recent seminar on partnerships by Væksthus Nordjylland and access2innovation there were reflections on lessons learned by the NGO, the company and the academic partners; it was con- cluded that for partnerships to suc- ceed trust is vital. However, trust is- sues within North-South partnerships & contexts are relatively unexplored in terms of how trust is built, main- tained, violated, and repaired among stakeholders. The seminar is open to all stakehold- ers (companies, NGOs, civil society in general) as well as students and researchers with a business profile and/or interest in business or devel- opment, culture and globalization to join for a constructive dialogue and unpack trust issues in North-South partnerships & contexts. HOW TO SIGN UP? Send an email to [email protected] no later than 26th February 2015. Please indicate whether you are: 1. Participating 2. Participating with a poster or 3.
