Improving Futures Evaluation - Year 1 findingshttp://www.improvingfutures.org/• Strong local partnerships have been developed.• Projects have found innovative ways of meeting need

through personalised budgets and as part of multi-agency support packages.

We’re investing £165m over 10 years: 3-5 areas across England will receive £30-£50m to redesign services for children and families

We will progressively target local populations to improve services for the neediest 20-30% of families

A child’s development at 2 years of age is an accurate predictor of educational outcomes

at 26 years of age

Strong leadership from local health,

public services and VCS

Health (universal and selective

services) is at the forefront

Boys assessed as being “at risk” at 3 years of age have

two and a half times the criminal

convictions in early adulthood than

those boys “not at risk”.
