What is Biodiversity?Biodiversity is the variety of life. It is

studied at many levels. On the highest level, you can study all the species on Earth. On a smaller scale you study a pond, or a park.

How does biodiversity contribute to the sustainability of an ecosystem?

It helps an ecosystem by having more animals and plants. The more species you have, the bigger the food chain. If you have a big food chain that means that the ecosystem’s populations can be easily maintained.
