Youth Group
Don't forget that TODAY is the Palm Picnic/Day in the Park. The youth group is doing"egg security" so get there as close to 12:45 as you can. There will be plenty of foodand fun games. If you are coming from Joseph rehearsal and would like a ride tothe park, please let Katy know. She will be staying until rehearsal is finished and
driving people over in the Church van.
We now have two dates to help serve at St. Mary's Food Bank,April 2nd and 23rd (both Tuesdays). If you are in the teen
musical, April 2nd is a dress rehearsal (very important for you toattend) so you can come to the April 23rd slot instead.
If you are interested in participating in the 30-Hour
Famine, please let me know ASAP, that is, if you
haven't already. I am trying to plan activities and
need to know how many people to plan for. - Katy

Soaring Campaign Update: Our financial report indicates that $176,392 has beenreceived to date and $25,080 has been spent on air conditioners, high-prioritymaintenance, and campaign expenses. Last year several congregation committeesidentified 33 essential Soaring projects, which were subsequently prioritized by theBoard of Directors. In addition to restoring our reserves, which has the highest priority,
we will now spend some of the funds on other Soaring items: upgrades to thesanctuary, including audio-video and lighting technology and dcor (art, interior paintingscheme, photography). Soaring funds have also been designated for the new coffeecaf, advertising, parking lots, and shade sails for the courtyard. Obviously, the fundswill be spent according to the amounts received. We are about one-third of the way intothe campaign with two years remaining on the pledges. Your wonderful generosity hasmade Soaring possible. Each one of us has the mission of being the presence of Christin this world, and together we can keep Chaparral moving onward and forward." Larry Gettman

Misrable?Victor Hugos Les Misrables has remained an important and moving story
for several generations. During Lent, we will look at themes taken fromPauls letter to the Church in Rome which are reflected in Les Misrables.
