Cleanliness is next to … ADOPTON! We make every effort to

keep the Shelter spotlessly clean. The biggest compliment we

receive from visitors is: it doesn’t smell! Please help us help

our adoptable pets stay healthy and available for adoption. !

We really need bleach, Odo-ban Cleaner, paper towels, 55 gal-

lon contractor bags, and 30 gallon trash bags. These items can

be used for School Community Service!

THANK YOU !!!!

MEET SYLVIAMEET SYLVIAMEET SYLVIAMEET SYLVIA

Sylvia is a 5 year old Borzoi

Kuvasz who was rescued

from a kill shelter. She was

surrendered with a terrible ear

infection, The reason?

Someone

pulled on

her ear and

she made a

noise.

Kuvasz are

gentle, pro-

tective and

easy to

care for.

Delilah, in “Homeward Bound

II” is a Kuvasz.

Sylvia weighs 78 pounds,

loves people, car rides, walks,

belly rubs, cuddling, snug-

gling, kisses, and pats. She

is a favorite at every event

she’s attended. She does

require a low-cost, single pro-

tein diet, But for feeding, she

doesn’t require as much food

as other dogs her weight.

Sylvia and Sandra Greenblatt.

DID YOU KNOW??? Roughly every 8 second, a dog or cat is

sent to a shelter. There are over 8 million in shelters nation-

wide. Those that are here are the lucky, the loved. Please

come and be a part of our Rescue Family! Call us!

and spend some time in our “Cat Room”. You are sure to find a sweet friend to take home.

Miss Joey 14 yo. Female, Spayed. Poor

baby was aban-doned! Very

friendly and quiet.

Roxy 9.8 yo female.

Very chatty! She is front declawed.

Bonnie 6 yo female,

Animal Rescue Aid’s goal is to make sure that every shelter pet has a comfy bed. ARA provides an opportunity

to obtain this type of bedding at a significant discount. You can donate a bed for $17.50 by faxing an order to

770-594-9576. www.animalrescueaid.org 10 beds so far!! Thanks!!

We’re accepting donations of household items, working elec-

tronics, kitchenware, patio items, holiday decorations, collecti-

bles, jewelry, children’s items, clothing …

pretty much anything that’s in mint condition

Drop these items at the Shelter during regular business hours

Tuesday through Sunday, from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm. We

have a limited capacity to pick up larger items; please call the

Shelter to make arrangements.

Yard Sale Items Needed! Amelia travelled ALLLLL the

way here as part of the Moor,

OK rescue. Her Mom, Abi-

gail, and her littermates were

in danger, until TCHS got

there. Beauty wasn’t up for

adoption long!

Tiny little Maisie had her new

Mom’s heart at ‘Will you

please play ‘patty-paw’ with

me? They spent an hour,

transfixed by each other be-

fore Mom said, ‘Come home,

little one.’

A face only a Mother could love?

We don’t think so. Wally, who was

found behind a Wal-Mart dumpster,

charmed the staff and volunteers,

but was so shy he’d only show his

foot. Super-Volunteer Deb knew he

was special, so she took him home!

Smart girls! Victoria and

Sara love animals, so they

decided to raise money to

buy dog food. They

checked with us to see what

we needed, and brought in

cans of Pedigree Chicken!

ADVENTURE CLUB! A

deluge of young supporters

descended on the shelter to

learn about pet care and to

bring donations! Each Ad-

venturer brought something

from our Wish List!

We love to see Father Mark and his Youth Group. They

gather at the Church and review the communities needs, and

then see how they can respond. A very thought-FULL group!

Mougway, our little Oklahoma

rescue finally gets her home!

This charming little darling’

finally found the right lap.

She’s come a long way, but at

last she has a home!

Larry was adopted by friends of

the shelter who live near one of

the workers. Many neighbors

have reported what a great addi-

tion he is to the ‘hood, as he

takes his walks with his tail held

high. Welcome home buddy!

We Remember Buttercup Buttercup was a very special resident here at Tri County. At age 15, she had lived here longer than any other pet. And she was a pet; our pet. She exhibited a gentle spirit, and her loving eyes wanted to take

everyone in. All this, despite having endured a brutal young adulthood. Buttercup was one of TCHS’ first rescues, a young dog who had been intentionally maimed. When she stood, you could see that she

was bowlegged; her front legs had been broken so that she could be used as a bait dog by a dog fighting ring. Her most noted attribute was ’She has the softest fur.’ So many of us were sad at her

passing, but very glad that throughout the majority of her life, she knew love and friendship.

This will teach him to go on a

business trip. Mosby was

adopted by Mom and the kids,

and Dad got a courtesy text.

He came in to meet the new

addition, and promptly told the

kids Mosby was HIS dog!

Bonnie goes home with the

O’Tang! Little girl was used to

cuddling up with her siblings, but

when she was the last to be

adopted, we gave her the

O’Tang to curl up with. She took

some of her old home with her!

Smokey started a war! He was

seen at an event, and two fami-

lies fell in love with him! It was a

tough race but his new family,

including a sibling say he was

worth the effort.

Jasper’s parents adopted ‘the

best dog ever’ from TCHS many

years ago, so when it came time

to adopt again, they new where to

go! He sent a post card from his

new digs on the beach. Surf’s

up!

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT! Our volunteers bless us with their many talents!

Here’s Brandon with (one of) his best friends, Ann! Brandon is a little ball of fire who loves nothing more than

an endless game of ‘chase the ball.’ And Ann is happy to oblige. As a matter of fact, Ann will oblige any

dogs whim. Wind, rain or shine, Ann rides up on her bike, swings her leash from around her neck and walks

right into the Runs. A run, walk or time in the sun leaves each dog happy and content. That greatly contrib-

utes to lessening their stress. Thank you, Ann, for helping keep our dogs happy and healthy!

THANK YOU FOR ALL THAT YOU DO!!!!!

Sunny’s story is

so very touching.

The family had

recently placed

their Beagle to

is the spitting image of their dog! Needless
