Trekking trip to Georgia:

At the foot of Mt. Kazbek (5047 m above sea level) -

trekking in the most beautiful mountain region

of Georgia and wine in Kakheti, i.e. Georgian Tuscany The dates for open groups in 2019:

30/04/2019 – 06/05/2019 and 20/09/2019 – 26/09/2019

This time we have prepared something special for you: an offer to go to Georgia, where most of the time you

will spend in the most beautiful mountain region of this country, at the foot of the magical Mt. Kazbek.

During this expedition, we will deviate strongly from the tourist route and discover all the secrets of the Khevi

region. Of course, you will not miss delicious food, sweet wine and Georgian fantasy. After a few days

of trekking in the vicinity of Kazbek, we will rest in the Georgian capital of wine - the charming town of Sighnaghi

and visit the Georgian desert on the border with Azerbaijan. We will spend the last day in the colorful capital

of Georgia - Tbilisi.

In addition, throughout the season (from 01.07. to 15.09.) we organize trekking in Tusheti, Khevsureti,

near Stepancminda and in other parts of Georgia on an individual order at selected dates.

TRIP PLAN:

DAY ONE - we meet at the place where our expedition starts, in Stepancminda (Kazbegi) in Georgia. You need to get there on your own. Of course, we can help you to arrange a good air connection and then transfer from the airport (we organize individual trips and also arrange a minibus for a larger group of participants, so that the transfer costs are lower for you). Upon arrival, you are accommodated in a guesthouse that serves as our base in Kazbegi. Around noon we set off for a tour of the secret places in Kazbegi (Stepancminda). We will take you to our local swimming pool with mineral water, to the local sparkling

water spring, we will look at Mt. Kazbek from the secret viewpoint and then drink coffee in the most beautiful hotel in all of Georgia (30th most beautiful hotel in the world in terms of design), which has a breathtaking view of Mt. Kazbek. After the coffee break, we will move to the Dariali Gorge, where we will visit the mysterious Tsdo village, in which only six people live and in which old Georgian customs cultivated, two Gveleti waterfalls and a complex of monasteries near the Russian border. In the evening - a ceremonial welcome dinner with Georgian wine and a chacha. Accommodation in a guesthouse.

DAY TWO - After breakfast, we head to the highest situated village in our region - Juta.

On our way, we stop at the mysterious statues that we call Georgian Easter Island,

in the most important village in the region: Sno, from which the Georgian patriarch comes from, and in the tiny village

of Karchuna, where we will see how people live in real Georgia, located far away from tourist route.

After getting to Juta, we will go on trekking to the Chaukhi massif – the Georgian Dolomites. After trekking - return to

Kazbegi (Stepancminda). In the evening - a dinner with Georgian wine and a chacha. Accommodation in a guesthouse.

DAY THREE - After breakfast we head to the most beautiful valley in Georgia,

that is the Truso Valley with wonderful mineral springs, where we will spend the whole day.

In the valley we will go on delightful trekking through Kasari Canyon, mineral water springs,

abandoned village of Ketrisi, two monasteries (women's and men's) straight to the Zakagori

Fortress and the border with Ossetia, where the Georgian military base is located. In the

valley we will arrange a picnic and have lunch. It will definitely be one of the most beautiful

days in Georgia. After trekking we will return to Kazbegi (Stepancminda) and in the evening

we will have a dinner with Georgian wine and a chacha. Accommodation in a guesthouse.

DAY FOUR - We eat breakfast at 8:00 am. Then we will go to the store, where you can buy

bread, water and other products needed during a trip to the Meteo Station (3650 m), as well

as to our office to take necessary crampoons, sleeping bags, mats, trekking poles, etc. In

our guesthouse you can leave a deposit for the trip to the Meteo Station (everything you do

not need in the mountains). Then we will start our journey. We can get to the hill, where the church of the Holy Trinity is

located and where the route to Kazbek begins (2170 m above sea level) on off-road vehicles. Our main luggage will be

packed there and transported straight to the Meteo Station. We will travel with small backpacks from now on.

The estimated time of trekking for this day is 7 - 8 hours. After this time, we will reach the Meteo Station, where we will






spend an unforgettable night (in the "rooms" inside the Station). During

the trip we will prepare all meals on our own (tourist and gas cookers will

be necessary).

DAY FIVE - Today we are crossing the height of 4000 m above sea

level during a short morning trekking, and then we will descend to

Stepancminda (Kazbegi). The descent will take about 5 - 6 hours. The

off-road vehicle will take us from the Holy Trinity church. Our luggage

will return to the village on horseback and during trekking we will only

have small backpacks with us. In Kazbegi, we will stop in our guesthouse

again. In the evening we will take part in a ceremonial Georgian supra, during which we will make our own khinkali,

learn to play panduri, listen to Georgian songs and discover the secrets of Georgian dance.

DAY SIX - After breakfast we will leave our region and travel to Sighnaghi, the Georgian city of love and the capital of

the wine region in Georgia. Along the way we will visit the Georgian desertwith the magnificent monastery of David

Garedja and we will take a short trekking on the border between Georgia and Azerbaijan (wonderful views of the

Georgian desert and the Azerbaijani steppe). In Udabno, which lies in the middle of the Georgian desert (the name of

the village means "desert" in Georgian) we will make a coffee break in the amazing Oasis Club. In Sighnaghi we will

sleep in a family pension. In the evening we will have a festive supra with the family of the owners.






DAY SEVEN - After breakfast, we will visit the most important places in

Sighnaghi (local bazaar, cemetery with an exceptional view of the

Alazana Plain, city walls) and then we will drive to Tbilisi. In Tbilisi - a

walk through the old part of the city, free time for souvenir shopping and

in the evening - a farewell gala dinner with a show of national Georgian

dances and Georgian live music in one of the best restaurants in Tbilisi.

After dinner, the program of our trip officially ends. Depending on the

group's plans - we will organize transport directly to the airport from

which you will leave to your country or to hotels where you will be

accomodated until the end of your stay.

Payment rules:

1. installment – reservation fee: 190 EUR - payable at enrollment,

2. installment: 400 EUR paid 14 days before the start of the trip.

PRICE INCLUDES:

- care of the English speaking leader of the expedition and the driver during the entire trip, as well as high-mountain

guides during the trip to the Meteo Station and all trekkings,

- help in preparing for the trip: consultations via e-mail and our facebook profile regarding physical preparation,

equipment purchase, organization of flights to Georgia and everything else related to the trip,

- all transports by off-road vehicle,

- all accommodation in boarding houses in Stepancminda / Kazbegi and in Sighnaghi – double or triple rooms with

bathrooms,

- overnight at the Meteo Station (inside the Station, not in tents),

- rich breakfasts and dinners / supras with wine and a chacha every day in Georgia (except for the Meteo Station -

cooking in the station on your own),

- all equipment needed for trekking to the Meteo Station (sleeping bags, crampons, stove, gas, etc.),

- transport of the main luggage on horseback to the Meteo station and back,

- a farewell dinner in Tbilisi with a show of national dances and live music,

- insurance during the trip,

- T-shirt, mug and other company gadgets as a souvenirs of the expedition.
