IntroductionCongratulations on the purchase of the Toshiba NetPac Wireless System!

The Toshiba NetPac Wireless System is a communications solution that is designed to monitor and control a network of Toshiba’s 7-Series and 9-Series Adjustable Speed Drives (ASDs). The wireless system consists of three components: a USB Transceiver Module, an ASD Transceiver Module (one for each ASD within the network), and the software CD.

The USB Transceiver Module communicates with the ASD Transceiver Module. The USB module connects to the USB port of the PC that will be used for system monitoring and control via the ASD PRO Software.

The ASD Transceiver Module allows all system nodes (personal computer [PC] and all ASDs) to communicate with each of the other nodes in the network via its mesh network design. Wireless communication is accomplished via spread spectrum using the 802.15.4 protocol.

Once properly configured, and using the ASD PRO software, system changes, node monitoring, and configuration updates may be accomplished remotely via a PC. See the ASD PRO Software Manual (P/N 59443) for additional information on using ASD PRO Software.

To maximize the abilities of your Toshiba NetPac Wireless System, a working familiarity with this guide will be required. This guide has been prepared for the installer, user, and maintenance personnel. This guide may also be used as a reference guide or for training. With this in mind, use this guide to develop a system familiarity before attempting to install or operate the system using the Toshiba NetPac Wireless System.
