4.0 Setup ProcedureTo set up the Elastix Server for the Mobilink IP1. Go to the web address of the Elastix Server Login page. The web address isdetermined by the customer, for this guide we have used the IP address 192.168.5.1112. On the Login page, type the username and password for an administrative user intothe Username and Password fields see Figure 4-1. The username and password aredetermined by the customer.

3. Press Enter or click on the Submit button to go to Elastix’s Dashboard

4. Once inside, click on the PBX tab on the menu at the top of the screen

5. Go to “PBX Configuration => Trunks => Add SIP Trunk”, see Figure 4-3. This willtake you to configure a SIP Trunk.

6. On the “Add SIP Trunk” page (Figure 4-4), fill in the following information:

General Settings

• Trunk Name: (TopexMobilinkIPTrunk in this example)

Outgoing Settings

Trunk Name: (TopexMobilinkIP in this example) Peer Details:

7. Click on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the page. The SIP Trunk will be createdand you will see the page on Figure 4-5 displaying the “Apply Configuration ChangesHere” pink ribbon on top of the screen.

9. With this you have finished creating a SIP Trunk that will be used by the TopexMobilink IP to register with the Elastix Server. Now, go to “PBX => PBXConfiguration => Outbound Routes” to configure the outbound route to the Mobilink IPGateway. Fill in the following information: (Figure 4-6)

Route Settings

Route Name: (“8_TopexMobilinkIP” in this example)Dial patterns

Prefix: (“8” in this example) | Match pattern: (“.” in this example)Trunk Sequence for Matched Routes

10. Click on “Submit” at the end of the page and Apply changes. Now we’ll set an IVRthat will be used for incoming calls. First, let’s create a SIP extension for the IVR. Go to“PBX => PBX Configuration => Extensions” and click on “Submit” having the“Generic SIP Device” option selected. (Figure 4-7)

13. Click on “Save” and Apply changes by clicking on the pink ribbon that appears atthe top of the page. Now create a route for inbound calls from Mobilink IP. For this goto “PBX => PBX Configuration => Inbound Routes”. Fill in the following information(Figure 4.10):

Description: Name of inbound route (“Incoming_Calls” in this example) Set destination: Where the call will be routed. (“WelcomeIVR” IVR in this

example)

14. Click on “Submit” and apply changes. To register the Topex Mobilink IP withElastix, you will need to enter the information from the trunk created on the ElastixServer into the Topex Mobilink IP.

Place a GSM Simcard into one of the slots of the Mobilink IP and go to the TopexMobilink IP’s WebUI by pointing your browser to the Topex Mobilink’s IP address.When it’s loaded, select the “Administration Pages” option and log in with the correctuser and password (Figure 4-11).

15. When the WebUI is loaded on Administrator pages, go to “Call Control =>Settings” and fill in the following (Figure 4-12):

PBX IP Address: Elastix Server (192.168.5.111 in this example) Port: 5060

Protocol: SIP

16. Click on “Save” to save changes. Now, use the information from the Add SIPTrunk page (Figure 4-4) to enter the following necessary information on “Local Users=> Mobile Users”. Click on “New” button and you’ll see a user added into the list.(Figure 4-13):

17. In the “Action” field of the list click on “More” to have additional options. Fill inthe following information (Figure 4-14):

Status: Enable Number: Any cell phone number (089532586 in this example)

Interface: The location where the SimCard was placed (mobile2 in thisexample)

Mode: How the call is routed. Check User Manual for more options. (Target inthis example)

Target: An extension created in Elastix Server where the call will be routed(302 in this example)

Call mode: User Extension: Name of the created SIP trunk (TopexMobilinkIP in this example) Password: (“jx8FkOU13sv6” in this example)

18. Click on “Save” to save changes. You need an additional useful setting. Go to“VoIP => DTMF Settings” and check the “RFC 2833” option. When it’s done click on“Save” (Figure 4-15).

19. Once you have completed the previous steps, click on “Commit” button to applychanges located at the left-bottom of the page. After this the Topex Mobilink IP willreboot. (Figure 4-16).

22. To test the Topex Mobilink IP, pick up the previously configured IP (SIP) Phoneand call the cell phone with “8” as prefix, it should be 8089532586. The call should beestablished correctly. Now from the cell phone call the number of the Simcard that is095689029, and you should be redirected to the IP Phone extension that is 302 (Seefigure 4-14) . If an unknown cell phone calls to the Simcard’s number it will beredirected to the Incoming Routes, IVR in this guide, in Elastix Server which wepreviously configured.

This step completes the procedure.
