Copenhagen Consensus Center organized roundtable discussions

with an aim to figure out smarter solutions to the most problematic

issues facing Haiti.

These roundtables are one of several sources

• Create an investment fund targeting community businesses that will use some of their profits to provide citizens with access to healthcare services.

• Establish a contribution program based on either a sliding scale or a fixed amount to fund a social health system, make the health system sustainable, and reduce dependence on external aid.

• Develop a well-developed strategic plan for the sector.• Expand the mobile clinic programs that provide family

planning, HIV, and vaccination services.• Form a Task Force or a consortium of health actors and

providers, to lobby the ministry, especially regarding the budget allocations for health.
