The hoondokhae session for the day, presided over by True Parents, was held at the Cheon Jeong

Gung, and was attended by more than 130 blessed members and ambassadors for peace from the

northern Seoul region, as well as the North Chungcheong, Busan and Ulsan regions. True Father had

woken up at 3:00 AM and began his day by offering devotions.

Members bowed to True Father, and then Father immediately began speaking. He said, “As of today,

all ceremonies held to establish the number 26 have been fulfilled. It is the day of completion and

perfection [centered on the providential numbers]. From 53 to 59… How can the number 26 be

transplanted? We experienced all kinds of difficulties in the process of doing so.” He emphasized again

that this day was an important one because it was the day on which everything [centered on the

providential numbers] was brought to a conclusion. He also told the hoondokhae readers, “Read the

speech that deals with today’s subject. You all should know what an important day today is and bear that

in mind. Listen attentively,” thus indicating that the audience should listen closely to the hoondokhae

readings.

Won Ju Jeong, True Mother’s personal assistant, began by reading the title, “Prayer and Life,” from

page 295, volume 31 of the collected volumes of True Father ’s speeches. True Father intervened at times

to address the audience. The reading was followed by Rev. Jung Soon Cho’s report on activities based in

Las Vegas and the providence centered on Happy Health [an electronic therapy equipment company].

❇ 2011 Peace Week Proclamation Ceremony

After the hoondokhae session in Cheon Jeong Gung, True Father headed for Sun Moon University’s

main building to attend the 2011 Peace Week Proclamation Ceremony. The ceremony, which

commemorated the twentieth anniversary of True Parents’ visit to North Korea, began at 10:30 AM in the

Grand Hall on the sixth floor of Sun Moon University’s main building. True Father presided over the

event, which was hosted by the Ambassadors for Peace Council and Universal Peace Federation (UPF).

More than six hundred ambassadors for peace from regions across Korea attended the ceremony.

True Father was warmly welcomed with a big round of applause and a floral bouquet. He

approached the podium and spoke to the ambassadors for peace for four hours. What he spoke about

centered on his speech given at the Cosmic Assembly for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven,

Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God's Substantial Self. After True Father

finished speaking, the event ended at around 4:00 PM with three cheers of Eok Mansei led by Dr. No Hee

Pak.

On October 26, an open seminar about our Yeouido land development and the ongoing lawsuit

regarding it was held in the thirteenth floor hall of the Dowon Building, with twenty former church

leaders and others in attendance. The Tongil Foundation and UCI (Y22) had been invited to participate in

the seminar, which the Unification Church Former Church Leaders Council hosted, but UCI (Y22) failed to

send a notification of their participation by the deadline, October 21. In the end, only the Tongil

Foundation participated. Mr. Sung Pyo Hong, vice-chairman of the Tongil Foundation, reported on the

Yeouido World Headquarters lawsuit, and after the question and answer session that followed, the event

ended. The seminar provided an opportunity for the participants to understand the particulars of the

Yeouido lawsuit more clearly.

The Hong Kong Unification Church Headquarters was awarded a Distinguished Service Plaque from

the government for 10,000 hours of Pure Love education carried out in middle schools and high schools.

We are truly grateful to all our church members who are working hard and sacrificing themselves in all

parts of the world for the providence of God and True Parents.

The International Day of Peace was first suggested by Dr. Young Shik Cho (90), the founder of

Kyung Hee University in Korea, who served as the president of the International Association of University

Presidents (IAUP). The United Nations established the International Day of Peace in 1981. This day is also

referred to as a “Gunfire-free Day.”

On this day, International Day of Peace celebrations hosted by Universal Peace Federation (UPF)

were held in several key African nations.
