VISIONS 4 TRAINING MANUAL
SCHEDULING (TM-V4-009)
1 PURPOSE
The Visions Work Template is a collection of inspection requirements related to single or multipleequipment that provides for the execution of a work scope on a one time or repetitive basis.
2 DESCRIPTION
2.1 Definition
A Work Template defines the parameters of an inspection, from access needs to cleanliness to
surface preparation and the extent of the inspection. Inspection Tasks and Work Requestsspecifying additional work can be included in the template. The template can be equipmentspecific or can be applied to a series of equipment. The template allows for the re-execution ofwork without having to re-enter information.
2.2 Work Template Log
The Work Template Log displays information specific to a Standard or Major Equipment. The Logis divided into 3 sections, Template List, Associated Equipment and three (3) Action Buttons.
2.2.1 Template List
This section lists the Work Templates that have been created for the particular equipment.
FIELD FUNCTION
Title The Title should be a clear concise subjectdescription as it will appear in the WorkTemplate Log and help identify the WorkTemplate in the future.
Work Template Number Generated by Visions, but may be overwritten.Date Created The date the Work Template is created
Extent Full or Partial Nonrecurring.
Prepared By The name of the individual who created ormodified the Work Template.
Modification Reason A limited list of codes used to describe why aWork Template was changed.

2.2.2 Associated Equipment
This section shows all of the equipment that is included with the selected Work Template.

2.2.3 Action Buttons
The Execute Work Template button starts the template execution process. Refer to theTM-V4-019 Work Cycle for further details.
The Clone Work Template button lets the user create a new Work Template by copying andmodifying an existing Work Template
The New Work Template button creates a new blank Work Template.

2.3 Individual Work Template Detail
An individual Work Template is divided into 2 sections, Template and Template Details and an ‘Execute Work Template’ button.
2.3.1 Template Section
FIELD FUNCTION
Title The Title should be a clear concise subject

Work Template Description Explain the reason(s) for the template
Access Details Describe the requirements, such as opening
the manways, scaffold, lighting, power, safetywatch, etc.
Inspection Details What is to be inspected, to what extent, whatinspection method(s) is to be employed,cleanliness, surface preparation, insulationremoval, etc.
2.3.2.2 Memos
This sub section lists the Work Requests and Inspection Tasks that have been created under theWork Template umbrella for the particular equipment, ready to be executed with the WorkTemplate. Refer to the ‘Add New Memo’ button section described below to see what fields aredisplayed in this list.
In addition, the user is presented with five (5) Action Buttons to create new memos from scratchor add and modify existing memos.

The Add Existing Memo button displays the screen below and is used to search for existingmemos to be included in the currently open Work Template. The ‘Find memos’ filter on the lefthand side of the screen allows the user to specify the following criteria before activating thesearch;
• Plant Number
• Equipment Type
• Equipment Number
• Activity Code
• Status
• Date Created
• Memo Number
• Extent
• Work Event (reference TM-V4-018)
• Memo type.

The Edit Existing Memo button displays the screen below and is used to edit an existing memo
included in the currently open Work Template
The Delete button removes the memo(s) from the currently open Work Template.
The Print button creates a report that included all of the existing memos included in thecurrently open Work Template.

The Link button displays the window below and is used to find and add equipment to the
currently open Work Template.
The Delete button displays the confirmation window below and is used to remove equipmentfrom the currently open Work Template.
The View button goes to the Equipment File for selected linked equipment from the currentlyopen Work Template.

2.3.3 Execute Work Template Section
When the user is ready to apply the Work Template, the Execute Work Template button isselected. Refer to the TM-V4-019 Work Cycle for further details.
3 CREATING A NEW WORK TEMPLATE
3.1 Standard Equipment
From the Equipment Index, select the Standard Equipment of interest and double click

From the Overview Tab, right mouse click on Work template and select New
A new Work Template is created, in this example #377. Once the Work Template is complete, itcan be saved and later executed using the ‘Execute Work Template’ button. For further details,refer to TM-V4-019 Work Cycle.

3.2 Major/Minor Equipment
MAJOR equipment cannot own a Work Template. They must be created in the MINORequipment(s) associated with the MAJOR equipment.
From the Equipment Index, select the Major Equipment of interest and double click
From the Overview Tab, double click on Work Template and use the ‘+’ to expand the Minor
Equipment. Select the desired Minor equipment, right mouse click and select New.

A new Work Template is created for the Minor Equipment, in this example #380. Once the WorkTemplate is complete, it can be saved and later executed using the ‘Execute Work Template’button. For further details, refer to TM-V4-019 Work Cycle.
