SCHOOL --Apply to a college you like and feel confident about.

--If you are a undergraduate student, you can decide your major after your first year ends. But it also depends on which country you are going to. For example, Chinese students have to decide on a major when they apply; while American students can wait until the second year.

--If you are a graduate student, choose the major first and then decide which college you are going to.

-- Make sure your university has sent you an acceptance letter. That will help you a lot for visa application.

--Apply for dormitary or rent a house nearby. It is better to live in the dorm in the first year since you are totally new to the place. Renting a house after you are familiar with the nearby environment.�

NECESSARY MATERIALS --Passport Since you are going to another country, passport is a must.

--Visa It’s a guarantee that you can study abroad.

--Health Check Form Some countries like the USA have strict requirements about health. Be sure to prepare.

--Vaccine Record They are to prove that you have the antibodies of different diseases.

--Other Forms Since there are so many countries and schools to choose from, the requirements depend on what they ask for. So be careful with this and be sure that you have all the materials necessary!

LUGGAGE --Clothes

Deciding which clothes to take can be difficult because you can't bring all of them. So check the weather and just take what you really need!

--Electric Pressure Converter The voltage may vary from country to country. For example, in China it’s 220V and in the USA it’s 110V. Bring the converter in case your charging plugs don’t match.

--Medicine Maybe in another country it's hard to buy those medicine that you usually take when you're sick at home. Take some common medicine, such as those for cold and stomachache.
