Opportunities to study abroad AT the University of St Andrews

St Andrews welcomes visiting students from all over the world!

Students attending a North American College/University can study abroad at St Andrews in their ‘Junior’ year Exchange:

•St Andrews has a number of European and worldwide exchange partners including 11 North American partners•Exchange students must be nominated by their home institution to attend St Andrews

•International Study Abroad Programme:

•Semester or year-long•Standard Programme Fee attached for all students•£15,460 (year) or £7,730 (semester) plus accommodation costs•More details on Collaborations & Study Abroad website:

Visiting students usually:

Study for either a semester or a year

Students are usually ‘Juniors’ (in their third year at college)

Strong academic record – GPA 3.2+ or equivalent

Students gain credits and grades at St Andrews which are converted and count towards your final degree at home

Students can apply to Arts, Divinity or Science but not Medicine

In particular, we welcome a large number of North American students each year

So if you decide not to attend St Andrews for the full degree, remember that you can still spend a semester or year with us!
