The view of the new school from the Spinney This area will be the infant playground. The fire protection paint has been put onto the rafters and the columns show where the classroom boundaries are going to be. This is where the Nursery and Reception classrooms will be located. These are the Nursery and Reception doors that will lead out onto the EYFS outdoor area. There will be a folding partitioning wall between the doors. This is the view from the kitchen into the school. hall. The Year 1 and 2 classrooms will be located beyond the stairs. Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and some small group rooms will be located upstairs with a corridor running along the middle of the building. Can you see how large the windows are? The view from the Year 5 and 6 classrooms. At the end of the corridor on the first floor we are going to have a large window overlooking the spinney. The view from Years 3 and 4. The pond is going to have a fence around it and logs where you can sit and learn about all the animals that live in the spinney. Rainwater will be collected from the gutters around the school and travel down a pipe into the pond. Can you see the pipe in the photo? There are going to be shelters in the spinney for children to camp out in. In the spinney we are going to have: A nature trail Log piles which will be the home for stag beetles and other mini-beasts Plants that disperse their seeds in different ways A butterfly garden A wild flower meadow
