NUTSNuts are a healthy snack for weight reduction. They are full of protein, nutrients,
minerals and healthy fats – just be careful to avoid the types covered in salt and sugar!
POPCORNPopcorn is a great treat to share with colleagues. It’s also better for you than
snacking on crisps or chocolate, with the same sweet appeal.
SMOOTHIESAs long as the smoothie isn’t full of sugar and fat, it can be a great energy booster and a great blend of nutrients. You can get your 5 a day this way and it can even be a quick breakfast/lunch on the go.
OLIVES Olives are extremely low in calories which is perfect for people who are stuck at their desk all day. Olives
also contain vitamin E and antioxidant phytonutrients to keep your immune system strong and healthy.
FRESH FRUITFruit is a delicious, nutritious snack as long as you don’t overdose on the sugary fruits. There are plenty of
ways for you and your colleagues to enjoy fruit, our favourites are Bananas with peanut butter, Dried fruit and nut mixtures or even strawberries dipped in yoghurt.
PITTA BREAD AND HUMMUSThere are numerous varieties of hummus available in shops today. Find your favourite and serve it with some wholemeal pitta, celery, red pepper and carrot sticks for an amazing snack which will keep your colleagues
coming back for more!
YOGURTYogurt is full of protein which helps curb hunger. Yogurt is also full of vitamin B12
which studies have shown to lift a bad mood.
RICE CAKES AND PEANUT BUTTERRice cakes are a great replacement for bread or crisps and contain nowhere near as many calories or carbs.
With the addition of some peanut butter these often dry, tasteless snacks become little bites of magic!
CAKES & COOKIESWhilst cakes and cookies aren’t as healthy as the other options, they’re perfect for this time of year.
When it’s cold outside we need a sweet treat to lift our spirits and give us the little energy boost we need…and it’s the holidays after all!
