FOREWORD

Alhamdulillah by the grace of Allah I have been able to compile my rough notes

into an organized structured story.

The following story contains the notes taken from the ‘Story Of Jibreel’ by Sh.

Omar Suleiman from Bayyinah.tv

The story contains the Seerah Of Jibreel هيلعمعلص narrated originally by Sh. Omar

Suleiman. All the credit for hard work in researching , presenting the subject

matter , organizing and arranging it in simple and understandable way goes to

him.

I have added some commentaries and footnotes that I believe might help in

increasing the excitement and interest that I had while watching the story on

Bayyinah.tv

May Allah accept the hard work and efforts that I’ve made and also the whole

Bayyinah team.

INTRODUCTION

When the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص came back from Isra Al Miraaj , the sahaba

asked many questions. One of the group asked asked how does it sound like ? So

the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص told them , ‘I can see what you can’t see and I can

hear what you can’t hear’. The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص told them that the whole space was

creaking ( like vibrating ) because there’s not even space for four fingers left on

the skies. There’s an angel created in prostration to Allah ( Glorified is He) , that is

glorifying and praising Allah. So he described the sound of space like creaking.

The number of angels is far far greater than the number of Shayateen and Jinns.

We’re always paranoid about Jinns and Shayateen being everywhere. But the

Malaaika ( Angels ) are everywhere !

This is a magnificient creation and the other reason why the angels are important

is , belief in the angels is the second pillar of Belief. And the reason behind this is

Jibreel هيلعمعلص .

In every culture and every theology , there is some kind of belief in the angels. For

example , in Christianity, Jibreel هيلعمعلص is described as Noah (Nuh هيلعمعلص ).

And according to Juda-Christian belief, angels are made up of Fire.

Whereas our Prophet told us that Allah chose to create the Angels from the most

beautiful creation- which is light, and that is because هللا created His hijab/veil from

light . The prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص told us that Allah speaks from behind a veil of

light. And light is also the most pure thing. It also testifies their infallibility.

DO THEY HAVE A PHYSICAL PRESENCE TOO ?

The answer is ‘yes’ , they do. They are strong, huge creation. Free from faults.

They do not disobey any of Allah’s command.

Now , do they have wings ? Allah tells us that they have wings but not the

small delicate wings that we see in comics and cartoons. Some Angels have 2 ,

3 and even 4 wings and Allah increases them as He wills. Also , that give us the

idea that they are different in sizes..

AVERAGE SIZE OF ANGELS –

Saffan ibn Sulaym عنه هللا رض narrates that , ‘No one enters into his salah ,

(which means you praying in your room thinking that you are alone ) except

that there are angels that are size of Mountains that are praying with you ,

that are glorifying Allah with you. ‘

BIG TASK -

There are Angels that belong to a bigger group among the angels – ‘Hamalat

Al Arsh’ – The bearers of The Throne. Now, what do they look like ? The

Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says : ‘I’ve been given the permission to tell you

about just one of those Angels. The distance between his ear lobe and his

shoulder is a journey of 700 years’. Abu Huzayma عنه هللا رض says that a flying

bird will complete it in 700 years .

HOW TO DETERMINE WHO IS A BIGGER AND WHO IS A SMALLER ANGEL AND

WHAT’S THIS HAS GOT TO DO WITH JIBREEL عليه السالم ?

Imam Al Suyuti rahimuhullah said ‘’The greater the task the angel has been

given , the greater the size of the angel. So, this tells us that JIBREEL عليه السالم

is the biggest of all and biggest in size too because He has the greatest Job.

JIBREEL عليه السالم also belongs to what is called the most elite class of

the angels. ‘Al-Muqassimati Amra’ – Those who fulfill the command of

Allah.

There are 4 Angels that belong to this category :

1. Jibreel عله السالم , through him Allah gives (Hayat Al Quloob) ,

relief to the hearts because He brings revelation and through

revelation, our hearts live.

He brings ‘Al-Wahhiyy’ , so each and every Prophet that has

received the revelation has received it from Jibreel عله السالم

The other task of Jibreel السال عله . is , Every nation that rejects

the revelation is dealt by Jibreel عله السالم

Ibn Al Qayyim rahimahullah says, ‘’Allah never destroyed a

nation simply because they disbelieved , but because they

became aggressive towards the Prophets and the Believers’’.

That’s when Allah sent Jibreel. And jibreel deals with them in

a mighty way. The entire Qoum (Nation) of Lut عله السالم was

destroyed by the tip of one of Jibreel’s wing.

2. Mikaeel عله السالم , through him physical life is provisioned,

sustenance ,rain is sent down.

There’s a hadith in Sahih Muslim, where a man is walking and he

hears a voice from cloud and it says go and water the garden of

so and so. So the followed it.And the cloud did not rained until it

reached a particular and the water fell on that particular garden.

So, this was Mikaeel السال عله

THEESE TWO ANGELS ARE RELATED WITH LIFE AND THE NEXT

TWO ARE RELATED WITH DEATH

3. Israfeel السال عله , Deals with the taking of life collectively-Qabd

Al Arwah- Taking the souls collectively. Allah has created this

angel with one task of taking the souls of people collectively. And

the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says: I have lost the appetite of

this world when i saw Israfeel السال عله

With his lips already puckered to it and his eyes gazed at Allah

swt. Fixated like stars and waiting for the command of Allah and

the entire world is just dependent on a blow !

4. This fourth angel has the task of taking of the souls

individually- and he has only name- Malak Al Maut. 'Allah says in

the Quran 32:11 -‘

ل بكم ثم إلى توفاكم ملك الموت الذي وك قل

كم ترر وو ربSay, ‘You will be taken away by the angel of death,

who has been charged with you. Then you will be

brought back to your Lord.’

So, These are the Most elite class of angels and the most elite of them is Jibreel عله

السال

Certain ways to take Jibreel عله السالم ‘s name :

1. Jibr-eel

2. Jibra-eel

3. Jibra-il

4. Jibrae-el

5. Jibr-ail

- Origin of the name

Till now , what is common in the name of all these angels ?

It is Jibreel, Mikaeel, Israfeel

'Eel' means Allah. The scholars don’t have any dispute regarding this. But the first

part has caused debate. What does the first part of the names mean ?

The answer lies with the old Arabic tradition. Earlier, you could see in Arab. If

somebody had a name ‘Abdallah’, the younger brother would be ‘Ubaydallah’. Or a

father has a name ‘Abdallah’ and his son ‘Ubaydallah’. ‘Abdallah’ would mean the

slave of Allah and ‘Ubaydallah’ would mean the smaller slave of Allah. And here ,

●Jibr- means Slave and Jibril means Abdallah, Slave of Allah

● While Mikaeel means Ubaydallah

ROOT OF THE WORD-

‘Jabr’ means strength and is also called the 'Shadeed ul Quwat' - The possessor of

amazing amount of strength from Allah.

One of the most amazing thing that you find in Sahih Al Bukhari is , The Prophet

invoked salawat upon Him(Jibreel) as well prayers to show Jibreel’s status. The only

other person that the Prophet used to refer like this as was Ibriham السال عله , to

obviously show his high status too.

The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص referred to Jibreel as ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

And sometimes the Prophet even didn’t call his name. He ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص used to say

which means ‘the one who is with my Lord’ . To show how close he is to Allah

Common theme that Allah refers to Jibreel عله السالم with :

1. Ar-Ruh Al Quddus- The Holy Spirit

2. Ar Ruh al Ameen- The Trust Worthy Spirit

3. Ruh-Ana- Our spirit, this is used for veneration in Arabic language

For example when Allah calls kaaba the 'Baytallah' The House of Allah- it is used as a

means for venerating the kaabaa.

But why does Allah swt calls Jibreel as ‘Ruh’ ?

1. The first reason is , Jibreel gives what settles a person, what settles his soul. In

essence-'Weren’t you dead and Allah gave you life? ' so it means that ,which gives

you life.

• Also , the word ‘Ruh’ comes from the word 'Rah' which means comfort. Just as the

soul settles the body, Jibreel عله السالم Bring that which settles the heart.

2. The second is , Ruhu ha al khayruha- The spirit of something- in Arabic language it

means ‘the best of something’. Allah is praising the purity of Jibreel السال عله

3. The Greatest evidence – Jibreel as is the first living creature of Allah , born without

parents. He is the first thing brought into existence with a soul.

Unlike babies, which make lots of crying sounds and say baba mama-but what about

the Malaika (The angels) ?

Saeed ibn Mussiyeb narrates : 'As the angels are brought into existence they say

' - .'La hawla wala quwwata illa billah - االحول وال قوة إال باهلل

Another amazing feature of the angels is that they (angels) have no

gender , no desire that could destroy their worship. But this doesn’t

mean that they are robots. They love Allah and also those slaves of

Allah whom Allah loves.

Allah also calls Jibril 'Rasoolun Kareem' - A noble messenger .

Allah says 'He posses mighty strength'. And Allah also says 'Inda bil arshi

muqeem'- He is stable with the owner of the throne. The Prophet

Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص Says, that Jibreelعله السالم resides directly under the

throne of Allah So He is stable in his position. And Allah says he is

obeying, loving and trustworthy. All angels obey and love jibreel عله

السال

Allah calls Jibreel عله السالم free of faults. He embodies perfection, mind

and soul.

-Another name of Jibreel is found from Waraqa, he was the cousin of khadija

اعنه هللا رض When the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص received revelation through Jibreel for

the first time, then He ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was very scared as He could not understand what

was going with Him. He came back to his house and told Khatija اعنه هللا رض

about this. Khatija اعنه هللا رض took Him to his cousin named , Waraqa – who

was a biblical scholar. As the incident was explained to Waraqa, he informed

that it was ‘AL-NAMUS’ who brought the revelation to Him. ‘Al-Namus’ is

Arabic means JASOOS -'a spy'. It’s a person who carries an evil secret. But why

did Waraqa called him Al Namus? Because Namus also carries a beautiful

secret.

APPEARANCE OF JIBRIL

Whenever Jibril appeared in front of the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص , he would sometimes

come in the form of a full proportioned human or in the form of light.

The Prophet says ‘' I saw Jibreel and he has 600 wings. He filled up the entire

horizon and sitting on the throne that Allah has provided for Him. There were

constant rubies and pearls falling from His wings. The color of the wings was

Green (Ahmad) and the sole of his feet was Green.’' The prophet looked at

him like this only twice.

IN HUMAN FORM

One of the abilities of Jibril السل عله is that he can assume multiple human

forms. He ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said i saw Musa السل عله , who was from the (tribe) Shanu ah

and Az-zut – these are the african tribes. Az zut had darker complexion than

any tribe.

You see, Musa السل عله Looked like a person whom you look down upon today

And I saw Isa السل عله , he looked like Urwa bin Masood عنه هللا رض And I saw

Ibrahim السل عله – I never saw a man look more like me than Ibrahim السل عله

(In another narration it is said that Uthman عنه هللا رض looked like prophet

muhammad and Ibrahim السل عله .. Infact , once the prophet said to Ruqayya

اعنه هللا رض (his daughter and Uthman عنه هللا رض wife ) that no one looks as

similar to your father and your grand father than your husband.) . And then

The prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص Said, ‘’I saw jibreel and he looks like Dihya Ibn Khalifa Al

Qalbi ‘’

Who is DIHYA IBN KHALIFA AL QALBI?

Dihya Ibn Khalifa Al Qalbi was the companion who was present in all battles

with the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص, and was even present at the time when JIBREEL عله

posed himself infront of the sahaba. Dihya was also called the Yusuf of السالم

Banu Qalb. And you may wonder , What did the women comment on yusuf

عله السالم

- ‘'Haaza malikun kareem - And this is a nobel angel’’ , and Dihya was called

Yusuf of Banu Qalb. Women could not keep their hand off Dihya. This is why

Dihya would stay aside from most public sight because women would throw

themselves at Dihya.

The prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص would send Dihya to Hercules (in Jerusalem) and all the

women and crowd would come to see how the messenger of the Messenger

of Allah (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) looked like.

So Dihya is a really really good looking man.

-How close is Dihya to JIBREEL عله السالم In look wise?

Umm Salam اعنه هللا رض says , ‘’Once I was sitting with the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص And

all of a sudden , she didn’t even hear the door open and closed , she just saw

Dihya sitting next to the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص , so she says I just left , then the

prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص Came to me and asked what did u see? I said I saw Dihya. Then

the prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص Smiled and said (stood on the mimbar)

and said 'Ataani Jibreel' - Jibreel just came to me. So she says, that’s when i

realized that, it wasn’t Dihya.

So he (Jibril) looked strikingly similar to Dihya عنه هللا رض

-Ibn Al Qayyim RA. says when jibreel was sent to a Prophet, He resembled to

the most beautiful person of that people. If He was sent to an African prophet,

he would resemble the most beautiful amongst the people.

This is why He resembled Dihya, because Dihya was the most beautiful of that

time.

What Exactly was Jibreel عله السالم age ?

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "When Allah created Paradise and Hell, He sent Jibril, السال عله , to Paradise and said: 'Look at what I have prepared for its people in it.' He looked at it, then he came back and said: 'By Your Glory, no one will hear of it but he will enter it.'

So He commanded that it be surrounded by hardships and said: 'Go and look at it and at what I have prepared for its people in it.' He looked at it and saw that it had been surrounded with hardships. He (Jibril) said: 'By Your Glory, I fear that no one will enter it.' He (Allah) said: 'Go and look at the Fire and at what I have prepared for its people in it.' So he looked at it and parts of it were piled upon other parts.

He came back and said: 'By Your Glory, no one will enter it.' So He commanded that it be surrounded with pleasures and said: 'Go and look at it.' So he looked at it and saw that it was surrounded with pleasures. He came back and said: 'By Your Glory, I

fear that no one will be saved from it and all will enter it.'" [Sunan an-Nasa'i 3763 Book 35,

Hadith 3]

This tells us that Jibreel was present even before Jannah and Jahannam were created. He is the first one to deast his eyes on Jannah , which also includes the palaces , smell of Jannah. So , He is Sayyed ul malaika-Highest of all the Angels !

● RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN ALLAH AND JIBREEL عليه السالم

Out of the multiple honors and names that Jibreel have , He is also called the ‘Kaleem Allah minal malaika’ , the one that Allah speaks to from among the Angels. Allah speaks to just Al Muqassimati Amra (The four angels that were earlier mentioned) But Allah always speaks to JIBREEL عله السالم Directly. Other angels might get a message through JIBREEL عله السالم But JIBREEL عله السالم would never get a message from Allah through anybody else ! The other one is , ‘Masural Ambiya’ , aids the prophet. To get this point across , let’s have few examples :

•Jibreelعله السالم came to help Ibrahim عله السالم . He saved him from getting burned from the fire , obviously by the permission of Allah.

•Jibreel عله السالم was the angel who took Idris عله السالم to the 4th sky where his soul was taken out .

•When Adamعله السالم died , nobody had knowledge of Ghusl and Tadfeen , so Adam عله السالم was bathed & shrouded by angels and Jibreel عله السالم was one of them

• It is said by the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص that when Hajar عله السالم was running with baby Ismaeel عله السالم for water , suddenly she heard a voice, and said come forth if u have anything benefitting to offer. It was jibreel, then JIBREEL عله السالم Just struck the ground,the water started coming from the ground and gushing out of the

well. And the Prophet s.a.w.s. Says rahimahullah on Hajar عله السالم That she carved the well otherwise, zam zam would have touched all part of the ground.

Today we all drink zam zam from the foot of jibreel, it pumps 8000 lt per second and its only 8ft x 3ft in dimensions. Imagine , so much water coming out of a well till today ! SubhanAllah

•Another part in Ibrihimعله السالم life where we find Jibreel عله السالم is , after Ibrahim عله السالم left Makkah , He settled with sarah السال عله . As Sarahعله السالم , and Ibrahim عله السالم were old , once some nobel guests of Ibrahim عله السالم who were none other than JIBREEL عله السالم ,Mikaeel عله السالم And malak al maut , visited them in human form. They gave them the news of destruction of Lut’s عله

.nation and the good news of a baby boy السالم

Jibrailعله السالم did the hajj with Ibrahim السال عله . He told Him (Ibrahim عله .to throw Jamarat on Shaytan ( السالم

Jibril also played a role in Yusuf عله السالم life. Yusuf عله السالم first encounter

with jibrilعله السالم was when yusuf عله السالم was as thrown in well by his brothers, he was caught up by someone whom he has never seen before , it was jibreel السال عله . He made sure that the fall was not too harsh on him.

He was also there with Musaعله السالم (remember Waraqa said that he was

sent to Musa عله السالم .) Jibrilعله السالم taught Musaعله السالم the 'Torah'- which is the most extensive revelation by Allah

Another important scene was when Jibril عله السالم stayed with Musa السال عله . As Jibreelعله السالم tells Prophet Muhammad , ‘’That you should have seen me the day when Firaun was drowning. (This was not to make sure that the Prophet Knew what He (Jibreel السال عله ) did to him, but to assure that Abu Jahal and Abu Lahab are nothing in front of him( Firaun ) . This was also to assure the Prophet Muhammad not to worry about them.) As he was drowning in the sea, I threw dirt in his mouth, otherwise if he would have said 'La ilaha illal la' - Allah would have forgiven him and had mercy on him.’’

What more do we learn about this hadith (apart from the role of Jibril عله .is the mercy of Allah ( السالمIf Firaun would have asked for forgiveness sincerely, Allah would have made void all his corruption over the past years and forgiven him. But this does not

mean that jibreel عله السالم ruined the chances for Firaun. As after this incident Allah tells jibreel ‘'Ya Jibreel ! Wa Izzati wa jalali ’’ – ‘’I swear by my honor and my glory that -If He would have sought from me sincerely, I would have forgiven him -your putting dirt in his mouth would have not stopped me. ‘’ But why did he put dirt in mouth? When a wicked person dies, the angels -they hit them in the face , Jibreel just gave an extra kick to Firaun ,he really hated Firaun . Why did Jibreel عله السالم hate Firaun so much? Because he says to the Prophet Muhammad, ' I hated him the day , I heard him say ‘’ I'm your Lord, The Most high’’ , when Firaun had the audacity to stand up and say I am your lord the most high , the hatred that Jibreel developed was that high ! And in many ahadeeth when jibril عله السالم came to prophet, He did not say Allah says but he says ‘Al-Ala'- The Most High says which shows the status and regard that Jibreel shows.

●Further , Jibreelعله السالم delivered the good news to zakariyyaعله السالم about yahya السال عله

● He played a role in Maryam عليه السالم life too. Maryam عليه السالم , as she used to stay in the Masjid and worship Allah , used to go out from the Masjid ,once a

month -some scholars say she used to go out to see sunrise and make dhikr. So when she used to go out- she would take hijab and put two clothes (with sticks on ground) to make sure that everybody knew that this is her territory and don’t come near it [Maryam السل عليه was a teenager, around 14-18 years old ].

So Allah says in the Quran, we sent Maryam 'Ruh-ana' - from our spirit( jibreel ) , Jibreel appeared to her as completely symmetrical human. As Allah says in the Quran ,

42. And (remember) when the angels said: “O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah has chosen you,

purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the ‘Alamin (mankind and jinn) (of her lifetime).

43. O Mary! Submit yourself with obedience to your Lord (Allah, by worshipping none but Him Alone) and prostrate yourself, and Irkai (bow down) along with Ar-Rakiun (those who bow down).

Quran (Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verses 42-43).

Maryam عليه السالم could not fully comprehend or interpret the meaning of this news. But soon she found out that she was pregnant. This astonished her because she had never been touched by a man. This obviously upset Maryam عليه السالم greatly and to avoid any embarrassment she withdrew from her family and the public’s eye and went to a place east of Jerusalem. It was here that Allah sent angel Jibrail عليه السالم in the form of a man. This made Maryam عليه السالم afraid but then he gave her the news that she was about to give birth to a child named ‘Eesa’ عليه السالم and that the child would be among those who are loved and blessed by Allah . Maryam عليه السالم was also foretold by Allah that this child would speak from his cradle. The Quran has described this instance in the following verses:

45. (Remember) when the angels said: “O Maryam ! Verily, Allah gives you the glad tidings of a Word *“Be!”- And he was! i.e. Eesa the son of Maryam ] from Him, his name will be Eesa , the son of Maryam, held in honor in this world and in the Hereafter, and will be one of those who are near to Allah.

46. He will speak to the people in the cradle and in manhood he will be one of the righteous”

Quran (Surah Aal-e-Imran, Verses 45-46).

In Surah Maryam, Allah describes this instance:

16. And mention in the Book (the Quran, O Muhammad the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she withdrew in seclusion from her family to a place facing east.

17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then we sent to her Our Ruh [angel Jibril (Gabriel)], and he appeared before her in the form of a man in all respects.

18. She said: “Verily! I seek refuge with the Most Gracious (Allah) from you, if you do fear Allah.”

19. (The angel) said: “I am only a messenger from your Lord, (to announce) to you the gift of a righteous son”

Quran (Surah Maryam, Verses 16-19).

As is obvious, Maryam عليه السالم was upset to know that she was pregnant. And when the angel told her about this child she asked:

She said: “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?”

Quran (Surah Maryam, Verses 20).

Allah stated the answer of the Angel in Surah Maryam :

He said: “So (it will be), your Lord said: ‘That is easy for Me (Allah): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allah), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allah)’”

Quran (Surah Maryam, Verses 21).

Although this could have caused Maryam عليه السالم some agony, Allah kept her safe and filled with provisions and food. Furthermore, Allah told her not to talk to anyone about the matter and to keep quiet. The Quran describes this as follows:

22. So she conceived him, and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem).

23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a date-palm. She said: “Would that I had died before this, and had been forgotten and out of sight!”

- Since , pregnancy brings a women closer to death (as it is permissible for a believer to ask speed up for death when they are dying) she thought that she is going to die and that’s why asked Allah to speed it up and the part where she says ‘’ I wish i was completely forgotten’’

Maryam عليه السالم calls out that she never existed. Then Jibreel عليه السالم talks to her.- ‘’Do not grieve... You have something awaiting for you and you don’t have any idea, Allah will let a river flow under you, your child will become the coolness of your eyes, the third test of Maryam عليه السالم was that she was not allowed to defend her. But until now, she had full tawakkal in Allah

●When the plot to crucify Eesa عليه السالم was made, Allah made jibreel عليه السالم take Eesa عليه السالم up to the heaven.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PEACE BE UPON HIM) AND JIBREEL

(ALAYHISSALAM)

Aisha ( May Allah be pleased with her ) reported that the love for seclusion came in

the heart of Prophet Muhammad. He used to climb up to the Cave Hira. Khatija رضي اعنه هللا would bring him food , clothing up there . Once, He (Sallalahu alayhi vassalam

) saw a man and he s.a.w.s thought He s.a.w.s. was hallucinating. That man was JIbreel عليه السالم , he shook the Prophet and told him ‘’Read ! ‘’ (He also did this in order to assure him that he wasn’t dreaming). So , The Prophet was told to ‘‘Read’’ , He said ‘I cant read ! ’ After he shook him for the last time , the Prophet responded ‘ What shall I read ?’ So , Jibreel عليه السالم told him

‘ Read in the name of your lord who created you..and so – ‘ خلق لذيا ربك باسن قرأاon..

After this incident takes place , the Prophet goes back to Khatija because he was

terrified and scared. Khatija اعنه هللا رضي assured Him that Allah would never disgrace him and would not let a harmful spirit come to Him , she reminded Him that He takes care of the orphans and all the good work that he does. She did her best in assuring him that his conduct was so good that God would never harm him and that it was her hope that he was to become the Prophet of his people.

On his return to Makkah she took him to her cousin Waraqa Ibn Nawfal , a very old man , ‘’who knew the Scriptures of the Jews and Christians ‘’ , who declared and explained that the heavenly messenger (Jibreel السل عليه ) is the same messenger who

came to Moses (Musa السل عليه ) had come to Prophet Muhammad and that he was chosen as a Prophet to his people.

-After this incident , Aisha رضي هللا عنها says there was a fitra (pause) in revelation. And the Prophet used to go up to the cave and say in his own words that he wanted to throw himself off because he wanted some kind of clarity . And whenever He would go up He could hear ‘Ya Muhammad Innaka Rasoolillahi Haqq – O Muhammad ! You are the Messenger of Allah in truth’ . And that would calm the Prophet. And also he would say ‘Ana JIbreel- I am Jibreel’. And then he would go back to his house. But even the, no revelation came. No Quran. We wonder what is happening?

Now, Khatija اعنه هللا رضي comes back in the picture and she says ‘When that

companion of yours come , then tell me’. So , when Jibreel السل عليه came to visit him , Khatija اعنه هللا رضي would tell Him (saws) ‘Sit on my right side. Do you see him ? The Prophet replies , ‘Yes’ . She then asks him to come on her left and repeats the question. Khatija اعنه هللا رضي then takes off her Hijab (Khimar). She embraced the Prophet (saws) from behind Him and put her chin on his shoulder and was holding him so close that the Prophet was almost in her lap and then she asks the Prophet , ‘Do you still see him?’ and the Prophet replies ‘NO ! ‘. Then she says ‘Be firm ! That’s an angel and not a devil ‘

This means Khatija اعنه هللا رضي went out and learned about Jibreel السل عليه . She

discovered that one of characteristics of JIbreel السل عليه was his ‘Hayaa’- Modesty.

Another important event , was once the Prophet was walking , He suddenly looked up and saw Jibreel السل عليه in his full angelic form . He covered the space between

the Heaven and The Earth . Jibreel السل عليه started to come closer until he came so close that a distance of 2 bows was between them. The Prophet got scared and fell on the ground. He goes back to his home and tells Khatija اعنه هللا رضي ‘Cover me , Embrace me ! ‘ .

This was the time when Surah Mudassir came down. This was the second revelation.

Now , go out and look at the sky and see the limitless sky. How huge the sky is , how

huge Jibreel السل عليه would have been that he covered all the space. As , you read further try to contemplate whenever a star (*) would appear.

After this incident , now the Prophet is not scared anymore. He is assured that the messenger that came down is an angel sent down by Allah and his name is Jibreel.

HOW THE REVELATION WOULD COME ?

One might wonder how the revelation actually came down on the Prophet. We have always listened that Jibreel السل عليه would bring the revelation but what was the process, the effects of revelation on the Prophet Muhammad.

EFFECTS

It was very harsh on the Prophet . So much so that the Prophet would sweat on even a bitterly cold day . It was rough. His body would become heavy . When Surah Al-An’aam came , Rasulullah was travelling on a camel. The knees of the camel buckled down and as a mercy to the camel , Rasulullah got off it. It was visibly rough on him.

PROCESS

Allah says in the Quran that If we were to reveal this Quran on a mountain , you would have seen that mountain crumble and see it shake out of the awe of Allah ! and imagine, this Quran came to the heart of Prophet.

When Allah desires to speak the words of revelation , the noise is allowed through the heaven. And it sounds like chains pulling through the Mountain Safa* and the angels are overtaken by it. Allah speaks to Jibreel السل عليه the words of revelation. When Allah finishes the revelation , the angels would regain their consciousness. And as Jibreel السل عليه would descend to Earth to give revelation , the angels would surround Jibreel السل عليه and say ‘Maaza Qaala Rabbuk- What did your Lord say ? ‘ and Jibreel السل عليه would say ‘Al Haqq , Al Haqq Wa huwal Alliyyul Kabeer- The Truth , The Truth and He is the most high , the most great ‘. And all the of the angels would start to say ‘Al Haqq – Al Haqq’ .

When Surah Al-An-aam came , it came in one shot. It is approximately 20 pages , it came in one shot. 70,000 angels were escorting and glorifying Allah. Angels cannot recite the Quran except a few. The virtue of recitation of the Quran is only for us Human beings and Jinns. So whenever the Quran is recited angels come and listen to its recitation.

7 Ways to recite the Quran

Jibreel السل عليه taught the Prophet 7 ways to recite the Quran. This would help people accept Islam if the Quran was recited in their dilect.

It is narrated in Abu Dawud , The Prophet said that Jibreel السل عليه came to me and told me to recite the Quran in the recitation that it has been given to me . He started to recite. He (saws) says , Jibreel was on my right side and Mikaeel on my left side. Mikaeel said ‘’Increase !’’ So Jibreel would taught me another recitation. This continued for 7 times. Therefore , the Prophet (saws) recited Quran in 7 different types.

HADITH E JIBREEL

Abu Darda عنه هللا رضي says , we used to sit with the Messenger of Allah and when someone came from outside they did not know who amongst us was the Prophet. Because he dressed like we dressed , he sat on the ground like we sat on the ground, he only distinguished us in terms of manners. We asked the prophet to sit on a chair , but he refused that. So what we used to do was put dirt like mounts around him , so that whenever someone from outside would come , they could know who the Prophet was.

One day , we were sitting and suddenly a man appeared. His thobe was extremely white , not wrinkled and no dirt. His hair were exceedingly black and he had the most amazing smell. He resembled Dihya . He came and sat down in front of the

Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص, placing his knees against his, and his hands on his thighs. He said, “O Muhammad! Tell me about Islam.”

The Messenger of Allah Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص replied, “Islam is to bear witness that there is no god worthy of worship but Allah تعالى و سبحانه and that Muhammad is the slave and Messenger of Allah; and to perform the prayers; pay zakath; fasting in Ramadan; and to perform Hajj to the House of Allah و سبحانه ”.if you are ableتعالىThe man said, “You have spoken the truth,” and we were surprised that he asked and then confirmed the answer.

Then, he asked, “Tell me about belief (Eeman).”

The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص replied, “It is to believe in Allah تعالى و سبحانه ; His Angels; His Books; His Messengers; the Last Day; and in destiny—its good and bad.” The man said, “You have spoken the truth. Now, tell me about performance of good deeds (Ihsan).”

He (The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) said: That you worship Allah تعالى و سبحانه as if you are seeing Him, for though you don't see Him, He, verily, sees you. “Now, tell me of the Last Hour (Doom),” asked the man.

The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص replied, “The one asked knows no more of it than the one asking.” “Then tell me about its signs,” said the man.

The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص replied, “That slave women give birth to their mistresses; and that you see barefoot, unclothed, beginning shepherds competing in the construction of tall buildings.”

Then the visitor left, and I waited a long time. Then the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص asked me, “Do you know, Umar عنه هللا رضي , who the questioner was?” I replied, “Allah and His Messenger know best.”He said (Allah bless him and give him peace), “It was Jibril السال عليه . He came to you to teach you your religion.” Sahih Muslim Vol 1: 1,6

THE PERIOD OF MAKKAH

The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says , when Umar became Muslim, then Jibreel عليه

the angels today are celebrating the Islam of (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) said , ‘’Ya Muhammad السل

Umar عنه هللا رضي ’’. It means that Jibreel السل عليه was with the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص in very hardship and ease.

Once Abu Jahal told the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص and the Makkans that if this man put his head in dirt (made sujood in front of Kabaa) , then I will step on his

neck and kill him. The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص next day prayed in front of

Kaabaa and Abu Jahal started to walk towards him. Suddenly , he screamed and ran back. Afterwards , he was asked why he screamed , he answered that he saw

a pitch of fire while he was moving towards the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص. Then the Prophet

Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص told the Sahaba that it was Jibreel السل عليه who scared him.

Jibreel السل عليه was also an emotional support for the Prophet Muhammad

When . ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص He also supported the family of the Prophet Muhammad . ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

Khatija اعنه هللا رضي used to bring food for the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص during the boycott , despite her being one of the wealthiest lady she stood with her husband ,

took care of him. Jibreel السل عليه came to the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص and informed Him

اعنه هللا رضي to convey the Salaam of Allah to Khatija ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص . And also gave her glad tidings of a House made of pearls.

AFTER THE DEATH OF KHATIJA اعنه هللا رضي AND ABU TALIB

Once, somebody hit the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص with a stone and blood

started dripping from his ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص face. He started to grieve . Jibreel السل عليه came

to Him ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص and asked ‘What’s wrong ? ’ . He said ,’ You see what my people are doing to me’. Jibreel السل عليه says , ‘Do you want me to show you an ayah

(miracle) ? ‘ . The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said ‘Sure !’ He (Jibreel السل عليه )

said , ‘Call that tree to come to you’ . The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص calls it and it comes

and was asked to send it back . Then Jibreel السل عليه asks the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

‘ .’responded ‘Yes رضت Happy ? . And He – ’رضت

CITY OF TAIF

Allah sends Jibreel السل عليه along with Malakat Al Jabaal ( The angel that can move mountains) . Jibreel السل عليه and the Malakat Al Jabaal said salaam to the Prophet

السل عليه Jibreel . ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص asked the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص wht he wanted him to do and suggested that He can get the city crushed between two mountains.

However, the prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص refused and said that their (the people who threw stones ) children could of those who would worship none but Allah.

As a reward , Allah gave the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص the sons of his enemies.

Allah gave him (ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص) Ikrama عنه هللا رضي , the son of Abu Jahal , Khalid Ibn Waleed عنه هللا رضي , because he never gave up on his people.

The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says , one time Jibreel came to me in green clothes with rubies on it. These were the clothes of Jannah. Once again , Jibreel السل عليه took out the heart , washed it with Zam Zam – put it in a

vessel and poured over it ال اءمان ؤ ال حكما– More faith and Wisdom. –

Renewing the heart of the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص , he put it back and sewn it and asked the Prophet to mount on Al – Burraq .

The Burraq was shy of the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص . Jibreel السل عليه told it that the greatest prophet is going to travel on him.

The journey for AL MIRAAJ was going to take place.

Jibreel السل عليه took the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص to

1. Medina 2. At-Toor – The mount on which Musa السل عليه talked to Allah (This was

the sign that the way Musa talked to Allah , same thing is going to happen to you too )

3. Bethlem – The Place where Isa السل عليه was born 4. Al – Aqsa

The incident of Miraaj took place. The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص met the prophets on the seven skies. And was given the gift of Salat (Prayers) by Allah SWT.

NEXT DAY , Jibreel السل عليه came in human form at the time of Dhuhr

and led the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص till Asr. He also taught him ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص Salat , step by step.

MEDINA

Hassan Ibn Sabit عنه هللا رضي was a poet. And he used to be paid for his

poetry. He became muslim on spot. When the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص entered Medina , the sahaba asked Hassan عنه هللا رضي to recite poetry for the

Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

The Sahaba built a pulpit for Hassan in the Masjid itself. He used to

author poetry in the praise of the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص as a sign of love for the

Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص. Once the Prophet informed the sahaba that Jibreel عليه was standing next to Hassan and also made dua which is present in السلSurah Mujadila.

Bani Quraywa – They hated the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص because they knew a Messenger would come but they wanted the messenger to be from their tribe. They used to ask several questions , they also used to ask about His

السل عليه told them about jibril ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص guardian angel. The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص . They insulted Jibril السل عليه . To defend Jibril السل عليه , Allah revealed an ayah.

Battle - Day Of Badr

Jibreel السل عليه led the army of Muslims on the day of Badr. He was wearing Golden Turban. On that day , Zubayr عنه هللا رضي was also wearing golden turban and was leading the army.

Jibreel السل عليه also arranged rows for Salat Al Khauf . And the Sahaba said that we could feel the warmth of Jibreel in our hands.

Jibreel السل عليه also brought the news for Uthman RA to marry Umm Kulsum اعنه هللا رضي

Once , Jibreel السل عليه asked the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص ‘’How do you view the

veterans of Badr amongst yourselves ?’’ , Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص replied ‘’They are the best of us’’. Then JIbreel السل عليه said ‘’And likewise we consider them to be the best of us angels’’.

PERSONAL LIFE OF THE PROPHET AND THE ROLE OF

JIBREEL

1. Once Abbas عنه هللا رضي was talking to the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص , Jibreel السل عليه was sitting next to him. The son of Abbas عنه هللا رضي saw Jibreel السل عليه and reported to his father later.

2. The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was more generous during Ramadan ,

Jibreel السل عليه was along with Him ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

3. The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was sent as mercy to both the worlds.

Jibreel السل عليه always felt secured with him ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

4. The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص used to always worry about the Ummah , Jibreel عليه

.ummah would be taken care of ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص that his ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص assured Him السل5. The duas of Ruqya are from Jibreel السل عليه

6. Jibreel السل عليه taught the sunnah to the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص . Hassaan Ibn Ali عنه هللا رضي narrates that Jibreel السل عليه used to come to

the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص and teach him the Sunnah , the same way that he used to teach him the Quran. Therefore , every hadith is from Jibreel السل عليه .

7. Jibreel السل عليه used to take stand and qualify the statements of The

Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص . He stayed with the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص on a frequent basis and sometimes answered the questions of people rapidly.

8. Jibreel السل عليه showed Aisha رضي هللا عنها in the dream of Prophet

Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص for 3 consecutive nights.And he used to say , This is your wife in this world and the next.

Aisha رضي هللا عنها used to say that Jibreel asked for my proposal :D

9. Jibreel السل عليه showed random scenes of Jannah to the Prophet

Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص. He showed him the house of Umar عنه هللا رضي .

10. He also showed him the gates from where his ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص ummah would enter jannah.

11. Jibreel السل عليه gave several advices to the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص . This is the most profound part . Some of them were :

Taking care of neighbors

Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, ascended the pulpit and he said, “Ameen, ameen, ameen.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, you ascended the pulpit and said ameen, ameen, ameen.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Gabriel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen. Whoever sees his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and he does not honor them and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen. Whoever has your name mentioned in his presence and

he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, then he will enter Hellfire and Allah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen.” Source: Sahih Ibn Hibban 915

5 ADVICES FROM JIBREEL السل عليه

1. Live as you will , but know that one day you are going to die . (Don’t get attached to this world)

2. Love whom you will , but know that one day you will be separated from that person. (Don’t get attached to people)

3. Do as you will , and know that you will be compensated and rewarded accordingly. ( You will be compensated in the hereafter ; good or bad. So , if doing good keep doing it – you will get it in the hereafter )

4. Know that the nobility of the believers lies in standing at night. 5. And as for his dignity lies in being independent of people.

THE SPLITTING UP OF SKY

Al Hafiz writes in his book Al Khush fis salah ,

The Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says : I was sitting with Jibreel السل عليه , then all of a sudden the sky split and an angel came down. And he started to come close to us. When Jibreel السل عليه saw this angel , he became smaller , he held himself and the angel said ‘’Ya Rasulullah ! I’m a messenger that has been sent to you by God . I’m giving you a choice , either you can live like a Prophet that lives like a King or a Prophet that lives like a humble slave of Allah’’

He ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says I looked at Jibril did this (waving hand to refuse ) , so the

Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says , I said ‘’I choose to to be a Prophet that lives like a humble slave of Allah’’. So , the angel left.

So , I looked at JIbril and JIbreel said , ‘’ This angel , he has never been

sent down before this day. ‘’ So the Prophet Muhammad ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said , ‘’So why is it that you got smaller and were afraid ‘’. So he said ,

‘’Wallahi ! I didn’t think that he came except to announce the Day Of Judgment’’

Now , who was this angel ? It was Israfeel السل عليه ….

This incident affected the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص physically. The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص sometimes , when he used to eat food , would laid back , a little

incline and eat. But after this incident , the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص would only eat food while sitting – up . So the sahaba asked the reason behind

this. He ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص replied , ‘’It is more befitting for a Prophet that lives like a humble slave’’.

TOWARDS THE END OF LIFE..

Abu Saeed Al Khuzri عنه هللا رضي narrates , the Nabi ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was standing amongst us and he was speaking and he simple said ‘’Allah has given a choice to his servant , between that which is in this world and that which is with Allah. And that servant chose that which is with Allah.’’

The Sahaba thought this was just an analogy , which he is giving. But suddenly Abu Bakr عنه هللا رضي broke into tears , Abu Saeed هللا رضي says , we were shocked. Later on , they realized that the Prophet عنه

.was talking about himself and only Abu Bakr realized ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص

From that incident onwards , the health of the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص declined rapidly. The fever got to him and slowly his mobility reduced- he couldn’t walk and stand in prayer.

The last time the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص prayed with the Sahaba – Abu Bakar عنه هللا رضي was leading the Sahaba and he read the prayer while

sitting down.

Anas bin Malik عنه هللا رضي narrates that we were praying in the

Masjid of prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص. The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص moved his curtain , he laughed and his face was as bright as a page of Musshaf.

By what ? By seeing 100 people praying.

As he see accomplishment there. Anas bin Malik عنه هللا رضي , says we

became excited that the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was praying with us but he signaled to continue to pray and he drew his curtain . He says, this

was the last time we saw Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص.

Inside his home , everyone was crying and the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص called Fatima عنه هللا رضي closer to him and whispered something in her ears – she started

crying. And then again called her and she started to laugh. Aisha اعنه هللا رضي was amazed ! and later asked Fatima اعنه هللا رضي about this. She said , the

Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص told her that In Ramadan , jibreel used to come once with revelation. But this time , he came twice- so his time was near. So she

started crying.The second time when he ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص called her , he said you will be the first one to join me and she became overjoyed.

The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص was inkling towards the chest of Aisha اعنه هللا رضي , and his eyes were towards Abdur Rahman Abu Bakar’s pocket (there was a siwaak) , so Aisha اعنه هللا رضي understood and she chewed it and made it

soft (whenever Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص used to pray , he used to do siwaak – because he always wanted to meet Allah with fresh breath . )

So , as soon as the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص finished doing siwaak , Jibreel entered .

Now , the face of the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص lit up (seeing jibreel السل عليه ) and Jibreel السل عليه said , ‘I’m here to give you a choice , either you can choose to live

among your companions and live well or you can have the companionship

of the Most High – Allah. After hearing this , the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص said ‘’I want the companionship of the Most High’’ .

Aisha رضي هللا عنها says that the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص lost his body as he was saying ‘’Ar-Rafiq Al-‘Ala- The companionship of the Most High.’’ His hand fell and he died. Aisha اعنه هللا رضي screamed when this happened and Fatima اعنه هللا رضي , she was sitting in the next room , when she heard this , she authored some beautiful words –

She looked up and said

‘’O my dear Father , how close to your Lord are you now,

O my dear Father , to Jibreel we announce your death ,

O my dear Father, paradise is now your abode ‘’

and she recited this over and over again…

DEATH OF JIBREEL السل عليه

After the trumpet will be blown , and everybody on the Earth and skies have died. Allah would ask Malak Al Maut to take the take the soul of Mikaeel السل عليه and Israfeel السل عليه . Then Allah askes , who remains ? The answer comes Your noble face , Me and Jibreel. Then , Allah tells Malak Al

Maut to take the soul of Jibreel.The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says , Jibreel would fall on his face and wings - glorifying Allah. He would die in tasbih and then Allah asks – Who remains ? and Malak Al Maut replies – Ya Allah ! You and me. Then Allah says to Malak Al Maut , ‘’Die !’’ , so he dies.

Then Allah would say ‘ Every single person perishes , and only the noble face of your Lord remains’ and Allah would ask himself ‘Where are the dictators , where are the oppressors ? Those that had pride in this world and thought that they were kings . Where are they.. Allah says ‘To whom belongs the dominion today ? Allah says to himself , ‘Lillahi Wahiddul Qahhar – To Allah , the One – the Subduer’’

DAY OF JUDGMENT

The Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص says , ‘’As we all would come back , the Earth is flattened as in obedience to Allah’’ and he says nobody would be able to move from their places in the assembly. And I will be called first , and I would fall in Sajdah. And as I would raise my head , I would see Jibreel on the right side and he says that day ‘’I swear Jibreel has never seen Allah before that day’’.

And the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص would point to Jibreel and say ‘ Ya Rabb ! He told me that you have sent him to me ‘ Allah would say ‘You’ve told the Trutrh ‘ and the same way Jibreel would say the same.

Why ? because all the messengers would be asked , if they delivered the message correctly.

Before Allah even asks the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص , he says ‘’Ya Allah you sent him to me – he did his job perfectly’’.

OUR INTERACTION WITH JIBREEL

When we send salawat upon the Prophet ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص , Allah , the angels send salawat upon us 10 times. In these angels , Jibreel السل عليه is also included.

When Allah loves somebody he calls Jibreel السل عليه and tells him that He loves so and so person , so you love him too and all the angels on the heaven plus Jibreel السل عليه loves that person.

Ramadan – In the month of Ramadan , angels descend on the Earth and among them is Jibreel السل عليه as well. You see , this is something to aim for , that Jibreel السل عليه comes to my house too and reports to Allah that your slave is doing your Ibaadah in the night of Layl A Tul Qadr , reading taraweeh , reciting the Quran and that’s how we should have expectations from Allah.

WOULD WE MEET JIBREEL السل عليه ?

Huzayfa عنه هللا رضي reports Jibreel السل عليه would be on Meezan on the Day Of Judgment.

JIBREEL السل عليه IS THE WALI OF ALLAH’S MESSENGER ملسو هيلع هللا ىلص FROM THE ANGELS.

And even we have our own Wali ( guardian/protector) too from the Angels.

Every night as we lay down to sleep , the angels prompt us to end our night with goodness ( Zikr , Wudhu etc ) and shaytaan does the opposite. And if we listen to that angel , angels gather us and make dua for our forgiveness. And as we wake up , angels prompt us to start our day with goodness and if we do so , they seek forgiveness for us all day.

In the end , we have to make choices all day , who do we want ourselves to surround with. The angels or the Shayateen……
