Summer Play Care For big kidS ageS 7-10!Starting June 11, The Kroc Center is offering a Summer Play Care option for older kids, ages 7–10. While you work-out or attend a class, we’ll keep your kids busy with fun structured activities including games, crafts, cooking bread and pizza, science experiments and much, much more!

Zumba® This class is a fusion of Latin and International dance music themes that create an exciting, unique and fun fitness class! The routines feature aerobic interval training with a combination of fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body. FOr mOre ZumBA®, See Gym

Zumba® toning When it comes to body sculpting, Zumba® Toning raises the bar. It combines targeted body-sculpting exercises and high-energy cardio work with Latin-infused Zumba® moves to create a calorie-torching, strength training dance fitness-party. Students learn how to use light weights to enhance rhythm and tone all their target zones, including arms, abs, glutes and thighs. Zumba® Toning is the perfect way for enthusiasts to sculpt their bodies naturally while having a total blast.

group Fit Come and be challenged by this blend of resistance work and cardio intervals. This class will use a variety of resistance exercises and will incorporate dumbbells, elastic bands, gravity based moves and stability balls. Come and get FIT!

group Strength Be strong. This course will focus on resistance training and will strengthen and tone all of the major muscle groups using barbells, dumbbells, gravity based exercises resistance bands and more.

extra gentle Stretch and tone This class provides an extra gentle, relaxed workout using an easy does it approach that is designed to improve posture, increase range of motion, flexibility, strength, along with breathing techniques. Students in this class have the option of sitting or standing while exercising. This class is recommended for injury recovery and for people who have physical

limitations.

gentle Stretch and tone This class combines gentle stretching and toning movements with breathing techniques and is designed to improve flexibility, balance, range of motion, concentration, and muscle tone. The class emphasizes proper alignment during movement postures making it a perfect fit for the beginner or advanced student who wants to move and learn at a slower gentler pace. This class is opened to all ability levels.

nia This class combines moves from nine forms of dance, fitness and martial arts, NIA empowers you by connecting your body, mind, and emotions. NIA is fun and easily adapted for a gentle, medium or intense workout.

Stretch & tone Enjoy stretching and toning all muscle groups while you develop flexibility, strength and stamina. This class will enhance your physical and mental strength by linking flowing sequences of movement and breathing techniques. Benefits include increased range of motion, concentration and muscle tone. Modifications will be given to allow students of all ability levels to participate. A slower gentle approach is offered in the Gentle Stretch and Tone class.

Stretch and tone: KidS ‘n’ me This class is designed for children. Kids will develop flexibility, strength, balance, listening skills and confidence in a fun social atmosphere. Children must be accompanied by an adult. (18+). Adults are encouraged to participate. Open to ages 2+.

ShaKe and tone This high intensity class is an exciting blend of dance, mat and light weight work. Enjoy an exhilarating dance and weight workout set to the beat of motivating music. Burning calories has never been so fun.

turbo KicK® Aerobic Kickboxing brings martial arts moves into a group exercise atmosphere by combining non-competitive, no contact, aerobic and anaerobic drills using variations of martial arts skills.

pilateS This class provides a full body workout and focuses on increasing core strength and flexibility. Participants will learn to link breath to movement and combine balance and control. Participants may use small hand weights, bands or balls. Instruction will incorporate all levels of fitness and will provide modifications. Beginning through advanced participants will enjoy this class.

Unless otherwise noted, the minimum age for fitness classes is 13-14 years with an

adult, and 15+ without an adult. Exceptions may be made with permission of instructor.

Drop-in classes are free for gold members. Class Passes for Silver members and non-

members are available for purchase at the front desk. All attendees are required to pick

up paper token up to 2-hours prior to class. Instructors are subject to change. Minimum

youth jaZZ Ages 5–10 Jazz dance is a blend of ballet technique and Broadway-styled performance. In this fun and energetic class students will learn fundamental dance techniques and how to move with proper body alignment.

breaKdancing worKShop Ages 5–14

Breakdancing incorporates hip hop music and is an athletic and acrobatic style of dance. It combines spinning on the knees, hands and back; bodypopping; and creating ‘windmills’ with the legs. At the end of each session students will put on a performance for family and friends. Wear non-marking athletic shoes and loose clothing.

Flex Fee Aquatic Classes

deep water cardio Sculpt Kick it up a notch with this fast, no-impact class designed to build cardiovascular strength while creating muscle tone. Participants must feel comfortable in deep water. Flotation belts and other equipment are provided on a first-come, first served basis.

aqua blaSt This high intensity water aerobics class provides routines for stretching, toning, and cardiovascular improvement. The cushioning effect of the water reduces stress on the joints, and its cooling effect keeps the body from overheating during strenuous exercises.

wave runnerS Wave Runners is a high intensity water based fitness program that provides the benefits of little to no impact on joints, expands lung capacity, as well as providing the benefits of weight and resistance training of a traditional gym. This program is unique because it is a rigorous cross-training of water jogging, swimming, water aerobics, modified plyometrics, and traditional strength and cardio-vascular exercises.

aqua Zumba!® Are you ready to add a little spice to your day? Join us for this high energy workout incorporating dance moves and aerobics. Zumba® is a “feel-happy” workout that is good for the body and the mind.

extreme noodleS Get into shape using noodles! Exercising in the water gives you the opportunity to stay cool while you tone your muscles and burn calories. Class includes stretching, cardio, strength, toning and flexibility activities while standing and floating suspended with your noodle in shallow and deep water. This workout has it all!

hydro-maniacS Looking for a creative aquatic training regime? Hydro-Maniacs is a challenging, energizing and fun class designed to give you a full body workout. Exercises will focus on range of motion, core muscle strength and cardio training. Students will transition between shallow and deep water

and will use resistance and buoyancy equipment.

deep water running Runners and triathletes will love the training benefits of Deep Water Running. This class uses high and low cadence deep water running to improve your cardio conditioning, run specific muscle endurance, turnover and functional running strength. Results are amazing! Whatever your sport, building endurance and preventing injuries increases your enjoyment and possibilities for success. Deep water running is an excellent low impact way to reduce stress on the joints, stay cool while training, prevent injuries, recover from injuries, and as an alternative to training outdoors on rainy

days. Join the fun in the water and leave your shoes in the locker.

maSterS adult Swim team mon/wed/Fri, 5–7am Are you an adult (18–108 years old) interested in stroke improvement, swim team workouts and camaraderie? The coach and team members invite you to join the team and turn your determination into liquid speed. Fitness, competitive, and triathlon swimmers are welcome. This class can be taken as a monthly program.

aqua Sculpt Use the natural resistance of water, along with breathing and relaxation techniques, to improve balance, core strength, stability, and enhance flexibility, and heighten mind-body awareness. Instruction can be

modified for all levels.

arthritiS gentle aerobicS This class is a gentle step down from our other water aerobic classes. You will still benefit from the overall body workout at a slightly gentler pace.

arthritiS aqua Fit Participants are guided through a series of movements designed by specialists, geared to reduce the pain and stiffness associated with arthritis. Participants exercise to improve flexibility, strength and range of motion. Swimming skills are not required.

river walK claSS Power walk your way to a healthy lifestyle. Incorporate music and resistance motion with and against the current of our lazy river.

open toddler/preSchool time mon/wed/Fri, 10:30–11:30am Parents with children 5 and under can explore the play area of the Cove Pool together. Adult must be in water within arms reach of your child. All members and day pass users welcome! Class Pass not needed to play.

Unless otherwise noted, the minimum age for fitness classes is 13-14 years with an adult,

and 15+ without an adult. Exceptions may be made with permission of instructor. Drop-in

classes are free for gold members. Class Passes for Silver members and non-members are

available for purchase at the front desk. All attendees are required to pick up class token

up to 2-hours prior to class. Instructors are subject to change. Minimum attendance may be

required for a class to take place.

Swimming SKillS For liFeThe Salvation Army Kroc Center Learn-To-Swim program provides a safe and fun environment for learning the fundamentals of swimming and water safety, gaining self-confidence in the water, and developing skills up to a competitive level.

about Swim leSSonSSwim lessons are 25-minutes in length. Five minutes are given between lessons to enter and exit the pool. For maximum efficiency, please be on time and dressed in swimwear prior to the lesson start time. Remember a towel.

claSS progreSSionThe Learn-To-Swim program is a progressive lesson series. Depending on a child’s swim ability, they may remain at the same level for more than one session.
