The first rule of
Photographic Composition
It states that if you divide the frame into thirds horizontally and vertically, the points where those lines intersect are ideal for the placement of your main subject.
A Rule of Thirds grid is built into some digital cameras. It can be turned on and viewed on the LCD. If it’s available, use it as as a guide when taking photos.
