"Smile" Layout by Sara ZengerNot many of us scrapbook in our kitchens,

but if you take a peak around you may find

some great things in your kitchen to use

on your layouts! I rummaged around my

cupboards and came up with a few things I

wanted to try!

We all have seen cupcake liner flowers. They

are adorable, but I wanted to try something

a bit different with them. I used my fringe

scissors on all the way around the outside of

the liner, I love the look!

The next item I found was some lollypop

sticks! These are nice and sturdy and they

made a great frame around my photo!

Since these come in white you could easily

paint them or wrap them in Washi tape to

add some color!

These kitchen finds worked perfectly with

the Pure Bliss and Nostalgia collections

from GCD Studios that I mixed together

to create this layout! The bright fun colors

from Nostalgia were just what I needed to

bring out the color in my photo and then

embellishments from Pure Bliss were the

perfect match!

Take a peak around your kitchen and see

what you can use on your next layout!

"Our Summer Reunion" Layout by Kelly HolbrookI ran the fabric from the old clothes through a die cutting machine with

some different shaped heart dies, and then ran the hearts through a

sticker maker. I topped them off with Adhesive Pearls.

I cut the Romantic Garden paper down to 8.5 x 11 inches, and the Floral

tile down to 6 x 11, inches, and a border from the Nostalgic Cutouts

down to ll inches.

I arranged all of the elements on my page, and then traced around

them with a pencil. I took everything back of and spattered with paint

where I saw open areas. When it was dry, I stuck everything down.

"Hello Friend" Cardby Grace TolmanI decided to use some cotton balls to create

the lifelike feel of my cloud shapes in this

card. This super fun way to add texture to

your cloud shapes can be recreated in 3

easy steps.

SUPPLIES: GCD Studios Pattern Papers: Pure Bliss Collection:

Happy Hoops (2018), Dizzy Hearts (2022), Dainty Floral

(2024). GCD Studios Embellishments: Pure Bliss Die-Cut

Borders (2036), Ambrosia Adhesive Pearls (1886). Other:

photo corners, textured cardstock, sheer ribbon, cloud

punch, adhesive.

Creating Puffy Clouds with cotton balls:

1. Punch out cloud shapes with desired

papers.

2. Apply adhesive to the top of the paper. I

used the Xyron sticker machine to make

sure I get full coverage of adhesive.

3. Apply the cotton on the cloud shape,

forming it on the edges to reveal the

shape better.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 as needed. Adhere the

puffy clouds to your project.

To create the bird's body I used a thick gauge

wire to create the frame. Then I was able to shape

these two darling birds with paper using a mixture

of 2 tablespoons of water, 2 tablespoons of liquid

glue, and 4 tablespoons of Mod Podge.

Keeping Mother's Day in mind, I shaped a larger

"Mother" bird and a smaller "Baby" bird. I took a

little walk through the neighborhood to find the

twig, covered it with green pattern paper leaves,

and attached the birds to the twig.

"100% Me" Layout by Rochelle SpearsI love to add flowers to layouts and making them by hand not only adds a special touch, but

also is super fun to create! For this layout, the larger flowers were made using 3 die-cut flower

pieces and 1 punched scallop circle from paper. Then I distressed the paper by sanding and

crumbling by hand. After that, each piece was layered with a larger piece on bottom to the

rolled blossom on top. Once adhered together, an adhesive dot or pearl was placed in the

center. The other smaller flowers are spiral scalloped pieces rolled to a blossom.

SUPPLIES: GCD Studios Pattern Papers: Pure Bliss Collection: Diamonds (2028), Dainty Floral (2024), Dizzy Heart (2022),

Crossword (2021), Bows (2028), Journal Tags (2025). GCD Studios Embellishments: Pure Bliss Paperclips (2035), Pure Bliss Label

Stickers (2033), Pure Bliss Alpha Stickers (2032), Ambrosia Adhesive Pearls (1886), Happiness Glitter Epoxy Dots (1868). Other:

mini alphas, date stamp, and white pen.

Add an instantpop of color with

an adhesive pearl!

Flower Treat Bag by Lalo IkAdding a handmade paper flower is an easy way to add drama and beauty to any project.

You can make this one in two steps. First to make the middle: shred the top of a paper strip, roll

it and secure it closed. The petals were made with various sizes of heart shapes. Lay the hearts

onto the middle with double sided tape and that's it.

SUPPLIES: GCD Studios Pattern Papers: Nostalgia Collection: Nostalgic Plaid, Red (1987), Nostalgic Cutouts (1992). Other:

cellophane bag, treats, lollypop stick.

Floral Embroidery Hoop by Amanda ColemanI am totally loving the embroidery hoop trend and wanted to create a piece of fresh, floral

decor just in time for spring. I die-cut several flowers and leaves and arranged them on a

hoop covered in paper. If you haven't tried it yet, patterned paper totally works for 3D flowers.

For flowers large and small, stick to patterns that are smaller in scale. The botanist in me can't

resist yellow floral centers so I added glossy enamel pearls to each flower. Yellow centers are

always the perfect contrast to bright, colorful blooms. The green ikat adds a fun twist to the

leaves. I placed them throughout to create a full, lush look.

SUPPLIES: GCD Studios Pattern Papers: Nostalgia Collection: Floral Tile (1989), Circular Floral (1990); Pure Bliss Collection: Ikat

(2026), Alphabet (2019), Green Ikat (2020), Dainty Floral (2024), Bows (2028), Blooming (2027). GCD Studios Embellishments:

Ambrosia Adhesive Pearls (1887). Other: Seam binding (Schiff Ribbons).

"Miss You" Card by Christine MeyerCreating your own flower for a card can make an already beautiful card even more special.

I love to make frill flowers. To create them I use a 6 X 1 inch piece of patterned paper. I cut

frills into it getting as close to the edge as I can without going through. Roll it up keeping the

pattern that you want to see on the inside of the roll. Once you get to the end of the rolling

add some strong and quick drying liquid adhesive. After it dries, you can fold out your frills. Add

your choice of embellishment to the middle and with that you have a quick and simple flower!

SUPPLIES: GCD Studios Pattern Papers: Pure Bliss Collection: Pink Honeycomb (2023), Journal Tags (2025); Nostalgia

Collection: Olivia (1994). GCD Studios Embellishments: Pure Bliss Die-Cut Borders (2036), Pure Bliss Alpha Stickers (2032),

Ambrosia Adhesive Pearls (1886). Other: white cardstock, bakers twine.

These quick and easy frill flowers are a great way to add a lot of drama to your cards!

"Love You, Mom" Card by Rae Barthel // I designed this card around the gorgeous floral paper (Dainty Floral #2024). I pulled colors from the floral paper when choosing my accents.

I approached layering the elements on my card like a puzzle, moving the pieces around until they looked like they 'fit'. The elements edges were lightly inked with a complementary color to give them dimension, and adhered to the card with foam tape for additional dimension.

"Love Being Mom" Layout by Suzanna Lee // It's not often that we celebrate our role

as Mother, that we call to mind those little details that have such immense weight in the joys of

motherhood. I set out to do just that with this layout. There are so many more highlights than I could

not fit on the layout so I created a hidden journaling spot to capture the others. I used a very healthy

combination of both the Nostalgia and Pure Bliss collections in the creation of this layout. As you will

see, they match seamlessly.

SUPPLIES: GCD Studios Pattern Papers: Nostalgia Collection: Romantic Garden (1985), Romantic Walk (1991), Olivia (1994),

"I Love This Lady" Layout by Christina Collins // I wanted to bring some of my mom's personality to this layout. Flowers (especially potted plants) always make me think of her. She loves gardening which is why I chose that beautiful floral paper from Pure Bliss as a background. I also chose this particular piece of paper because I wanted to be able to pull colors from it. I knew I wanted to work with the blues, greens, and pinks in the paper so I pulled a few border strips and cut a few strips of paper. I played around with the layering until it was pleasing to the eye, adhered them together, and then did a little bit of stitching. I wanted all of these pretty patterned strips to pop, so I added yellow cardstock as a background. I backed the yellow cardstock with white cardstock to give it that extra pop.

"Happy Mother's Day" Card by Wida Miller // Mother's day means even more to me now

that I am a mother. I made this card for my mom with the gorgeous spring-like papers of the Pure Bliss

Collection. My favorite way to add texture to my cards is by using my embossing folders. It's quick

and easy, and adds a great balance to the accompanying patterned paper.

The Pure Bliss line has the sweetest paper clips sure to give your handmade creations that little

something extra to impress, especially Moms! I hope you have a wonderful Mother's day!

Mother's Day Necklace & Gift Box by Lalo Ik // Just because we’re not in elementary

any more, doesn’t mean we can’t do a handmade Mother’s Day. Here’s a fabulous idea that any

mother would love… a paper crafted necklace in a pretty box. I love the pretty papers and stickers

of the Pure Bliss collection to create this super trendy necklace. To make this necklace, sandwich

pattern paper and stickers between two glass tiles. Then enclose the tiles in a metal charm holder.

Add to chain and there you have your gift. You can totally personalize this by just switching up the

embellishments. Make it one-of-a-kind just like your mother. Don’t forget to dress up the box too.
