The new reality in Blood Gas QC
Tonometry at real sample temperature….
The new generation of the TM8000 offers active temperature management
For the first time samples can be tonometered at temperatures from 20,0°C to 39,9°C *
and the actual measured values can be determined at a body – or sample temperature
deviating from 37°C. The temperature corrections implemented in Blood Gas Systems,
which are based on a calculation model, can be determined and adapted with high
accuracy.
Determine the deviation of temperature corrections
Studies have shown that temperature corrections implemented in the Blood Gas
Systems often deviate significantly from the actual values. Depending on the partial
pressure deviations of more than 50% are possible at sample temperatures of 20°C.
With the TM8000flex the exact temperature corrections for different Blood Gas Systems
and applications can be determined.

Application examples:
• Cardiac surgery / Surgery:
Determination of the exact temperature correction for the used Blood Gas Analyzer at the
applied patient temperatures
• Manufacturer of Blood Gas Systems:
