The Ivanovs’ family team

Sport… Medals, victories, competitions, records, winners and champions… For many people sport has become a part of their life, to be more exact, not a part, but the main concern of the whole life. There is a start point uniting all the sportsmen: all of them met a COACH in their life.

We’d like to tell about a couple of coaches and PE teachers – the Ivanovs: Nikolay Arsentievich and Lyudmila Konstantinovna.

Nikolay, the head of the family, is the chairman of Sport and Physical Culture

Committee in Andreapol District Administration now.

30 years ago Nikolay Arsentievich graduated cum laude from Sport department of

Torzhok pedagogical college and entered Smolensk State Pedagogical Institute. He met his future wife – Lyudmila there. She was an active student, took part in many skiing and running competitions and won

them.

In total, Nikolay and Lyudmila have been coaching children for more than 50 years.

Some of their pupils, inspired by the coaches, have chosen sport as a profession.

All of the Ivanovs’ children are good at sport. Their son

Mikhael, an officer, serves in the Army, he is responsible

for sport training of the staff in the Far East Military Unit.

In 2013 he became a champion of the Far east

region in freestyle wrestling.

Nowadays Nikolay and Lyudmila take an active part in different sport competitions.

In 2013 Nikolay Arsentievich won the title “The best marathon runner of the Year”. All in all, he took part in 5 marathons this year and won 3 of them!

We are really proud of our PE teacher – Lyudmila Konstantinovna and her results in running and skiing!

We wish the Ivanovs many new sport victories, good health and gifted pupils.
