Birchwood DREAM Monthly Snapshot March 2013 Program Happenings and Highlights
• This year the Champlain College Iron Chef Competition raised $920 for Birchwood DREAM. A huge thank you goes to all of the Champlain dining staff who made this event possible, especially chef Sandi Earle.
• The Birchwood DREAM program was awarded a $125 alumni grant from the DREAM Alumni Organization to support this year’s beautification where mentors and kids will paint the community center, install shelves, and put up pictures.
• Mentors and youth are looking forward to a lot of upcoming events for the program including the teen retreat, Birchwood beautification, alumni welcoming, and culminating.

Weekly Programming with Children
• Mentors and mentees spent the first Friday back from spring break doing one-on-ones and going to the Champlain College cafeteria.
• Champlain College staff competed against a team of DREAM mentors and youth during the annual DREAM kickball tournament, which raises awareness and money for Birchwood DREAM.
• Mentor pairs explored Champlain College during one-on-one time.
