A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR Dear Holy Apostles Parish Family,

Hopefully when you read this, the Cubs will

be getting closer to winning the World Series!

Two weeks ago, we started hosting PADS on

Sunday nights for 6 to 10 women. It has gone

very well and we have a core of great volun-

teers. Now it is time to grow this core into a

larger team. Trisha Rosga is the coordinator

and we could use a co coordinator.

PADS starts at 7 PM and concludes at 7AM.

We need help for:

Pick-up at the Crystal Lake Train station to

bring our guests to Holy Apostles

Set-up -Making dinner

Hosting our guests from 7 to 11 PM;

11 PM to 3 AM and 3 to 7AM (Clean-up)

It is a very rewarding ministry and an oppor-

tunity to reach out to women, especially in this

Year of Mercy. There will be people to answer

questions after Mass, so please consider join-

ing us. For more information please email to

[email protected].

Have a Blessed Week! Father Paul

HELP HURRICANE MATTHEW VICTIMS Archbishop Joseph Kurtz, President of the U.S.

Conference of Catholic Bishops, has written to

ask that a special collection be taken up to

benefit the people effected by the devastation

caused by Hurricane Matthew. He specifies

“These funds will be used to support the efforts

of Catholic Relief Services and Catholic Chari-

ties USA as they reach out to provide humani-

tarian aid in the

form of water,

food, shelter, and

medical care, as

well as to their

long-term efforts

to restore com-

munities after

widespread de-

struction, and to

the U.S. Confer-

ence of Catholic

Bishops for the

pastoral and

reconstruction

needs of the

Church in the Caribbean and the U.S.”

Your generous donations to today’s second

collection will help the people in the Hurricane

Matthew effected areas receive food, water,

shelter and help them recover and rebuild.

Thank you so much!

diversa, obteniendo resultados opuestos”.

solicitud fraterna ayuda, pues nuestra debilidad.

Eternal God,

Our life is a fleeting shadow that does not endure. Our years pass

quickly, our days are few and full. We thank You that those who

have gone before us no longer have to face life’s pain or fear, that

for them suffering has ended and death itself has conquered as

they have passed from our earthly sight.

We thank You for the years of their presence among us and while

we feel the pain of their departing, we rejoice in the faith that You

have chosen them to be with You for eternal life in heaven. Amen.
