The Charleston County School District

Charleston County offers a diverse and compelling array of innovative public and private schools

and educational programs addressing the needs of students with every interest. The Charleston

County School District has made major strides over the past five years to broaden its educational

options for County residents with its ‘Charleston Achieving Excellence’ Plan.

These local educator’s efforts are augmented by The Education Foundation, a mature public-

private partnership building bridges of collaboration between local school administrators,

teachers, students and the business community since 1995. For example, The Boeing Company

recently made a donation to this foundation to promote the development of aviation engineering

curriculum.
