SPEEDING IN THE PARK

Speeding in the park continues to be an ongoing

issue in The Meadows. Please remember there

are NO sidewalks in the park. This means cars

share the road with golf carts, dogs, bicycles,

electric wheelchairs and people. Please slow

down, keep an eye out for others sharing the

road.

The speed limit in the park is 15mph. Please

inform your visitors and delivery people of the

speed limit.

PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE SLOW DOWN &

SHARE THE ROAD.

PARK REMINDERS

Trash Barrel at Mail Boxes – The trash barrel

placed at the mail boxes is for recyclable paper

(junk mail) only. It is NOT to be used for

food trash or doggie bags!

For your protection and safety, please deposit

flyers and items containing NO personal

information. Guests in the park - Please remember if you

have guests visiting in the park, a resident

must accompany them when using facilities

such as the pool, clubhouse, pool room, etc.

Looking for Talent – Do you have a special

talent? I’m sure there are many hidden

talents

Diane Content is moving to California to be

closer to her family on July 1, 2017. We would

like to THANK Diane for everything she has

done for the Meadows from arranging trips to

being the treasurer of the MRA board. If you

happen to see Diane please say Thank You and

wish her well on her new adventure.

Terry Hurtgen is resigning from assisting

people in the park with assistive devices. We

would like to thank Terry for his assistance

with this activity. If you happen to see Terry

please thank him.

Since Terry is resigning a volunteer is needed

to continue assisting people in the park.

Please contact a member of the MRA Board if

you are interested in volunteering.

Message from Diane Content I have really enjoyed doing the trips but now I am

moving and someone is needed to do the trips. Pat

Scott, the Activity Director and the bus driver

and Monte Vista Village Resort are very helpful

when planning the trips. Please call me if you are

interested in doing the trips or for more

Handicap Accessable Van – Vanessa will discuss

not having a handicap van for park trips with ELS

Management.

Jungle Boogie – In order to continue Jungle

Boogie volunteers are needed to help with the

game. If you are interested in helping with Jungle

Boogie please sign up in the Volunteer Book at the

club house or Contact:

MOHA NEWS & UPDATES

Roof Rats – If you have roof rats or know of

roof rats in the part please report it to the

office.

Lights at the Mailboxes – Solar lights have been

installed around the mailboxes

Dog Park Ramp – A coating/surface has been put

on the metal ramp to the dog park to make the

ramp cooler.

Club House/Park Rules – Tiffany is checking on

the park/and clubhouse rules. The rules will be

published and everyone will be able to pick up a

copy of the rules at the office.

MOHA NEWS CONTINUED

Pool Shower – The pool shower has been fixed

Hot Tub – Is now working

Road Resurfacing/Paving – A portion of the

road in the Meadows will be resurfaced/paved

within the next 2 months.

If anyone in the park is threatened or feels

threatened Call the Police. No one in the park

should ever be threatened or feel threatened.

Cico De Mayo Pot Luck Dinner –

Celebrate Cinco 5pm on Friday May 5, 2017 at the

Club House with a Pot Luck Dinner. Sign Up

Ladies Tea and Fashion Show This is the 7th year a group of ladies at

Meadows have put on the “Ladies Tea and

Fashion Show” as always it was a huge success.

Thanks to ALL the ladies who work tirelessly

to make this event a huge success year after

year.

Women’s Poker Is Looking for Players -

A fun, friendly game is played in the Club House

on Thursday nights from 6-8:30Pm. Don’t know

how to play no problem. We will explain each

game to you and show you how to play. Please

BINGO NEWS

BINGO is played every Tuesday evening in the

Clubhouse at 7:00 p.m. Cards can be purchased

between 6:00 p.m. and 6:45 p.m. please free to

invite a friend (or friends) to join you at Bingo.

Meadows Golf

Formal golf has been suspended

for the summer. Play will resume

in Mid-October. Please consider

joining us in the fall. We will play

9 holes @ Rolling Hills Golf

Course in Tempe.

The Meadows Food Pantry Thanks to the generosity of everyone who

has contributed food, the Food Pantry is

now operating at almost full capacity

Canned food, pasta, soup, breakfast items

and other non-perishable food items are

needed for the food pantry. Please check

the expiration dates before dropping off

items.

Marked donation boxes are located in the

Clubhouse or if you prefer please call

John Perkins or Dean Haaser for pickup.

Personal grooming items such as tooth

paste, soap, toothbrushes, shampoo etc.

are NOT needed. No one in the park should go to bed hungry

and we encourage you to contact John

Perkins or Dean Haaser if you need

assistance. All requests for assistance are

handled privately and discreetly.
