It was fun getting the car out and I led Bob and Mary McKinney and Mike Brookhouser on one of my favorite drives through Elk City and Arlington. Now that the weather has warmed up, I can get started on the things that I hope to get done on the car. I remembered to write down the mileage on the odometer. At the end of the season I will be able to know how far I have driven and not guess like I did last year. I hope that all of you write down your odometer reading this Spring. I think that it will be fun to see how far we each drive our cars. I plan to recognize the miles driven. Please check the note on trash pick up. Somehow it came up on us fast and April is the month to do this. The board selected the day of our meeting April 13th. Please let How- ard know if you can help. For the newer folks and for those of us still accumulating the items on the list, I thought that it might be a good idea to publish a parts list to carry when out and about with our A’s. I have to confess that I have used many of the parts listed. I don’t think that it would do me much good to have some of the parts as I wouldn’t know how to use them if I had them. You could tell who the bowlers were at the bowling party. Of note to me was seeing the dust fly out of How- ard’s ball the first time down the lane. I also enjoy watching the young ones bowl. It seemed to take forever for the ball to get down the lane, and the pins just slowly fell over. It was kind of like slo-mo bowling. See you soon. Well, Spring is here and I went for a 70 mile drive today. It was fun getting the

car out and I led Bob and Mary McKinney and Mike Brookhouser on one of my favorite drives through Elk City and Arlington. The board selected the day of our

meeting April 13th. Please let How-ard know if you can help. March Activities

Welcome to our Newest Meadowlark Members Mike Brookhouser Mike recently purchased the 1931 Coupe that was owned by former members Terry

    and Maryann Hanson.

    Darren Earnest & Family

Darren is the son of Charlie and Suzanne Earnest. Pictured are Darren, Charlie

    and Gracey.

Jan Hartenhoff: How to Make Lotions

The March Ladies presentation was by Jan Hartenhoff. Jan showed the ladies how to make lotions. Guys, I hope that you noticed how nice your lady’s skin was.

Bowling on St. Patrick’s Day I believe that all bowlers had a great time. The last time that I bowled was during P.E. class in college. By my score, I should have paid more attention. Those who attended were: Charlie and Suzanne Earnest, Darren, Charlie, and Gracie Earnest, Don and Janet Graves, Bob and Mary McKinney, daughter Cindy and grandchildren Ja-cob and Miranda, El Gertner, Doug and Vicki and Vicki’s Dad Duane, Howard and Mary Denker and Dale Jergensen.

Model A’s For Sale 1930 Deluxe Roadster. Restored many years ago, but still presentable. Does have a rebuilt engine.

Driven less than 1,000 miles since engine installed. 1931 Leatherback Victoria, older restoration, still looks good. Also has a rebuilt engine with very few

hours of drive time. 1931 Slant Window Town Sedan – total restoration a few years ago and driven very little. Would make

someone a great car for touring or shows. For pictures and more information, contact Don Graves at 402-659-1815

HEN’S NEST We had a good March meeting. Thank you to Jan Hartenhoff for showing us how to make hand lotion and giving us some samples to take home. I had no idea that it was so easy to make; it’s really nice and just love it. Jan also came up with a name for the ladies’ news article: Hen’s Nest. Need I say more. Hopefully the weather will improve by the time the April meeting rolls around. After all it is SUP-POSED to be Spring. We are hoping for a good turn out as this will be our first fund raiser featur-ing Scentsy. We will be making 15% of everything sold. For those who don’t know about Scentsy, we will be having a demo and you will be able to smell the different scents during our meeting. We will also have packets to take home to show family and friends. We will wrap up the fund raiser in about 2 weeks so we can have the merchandise available at the May meeting. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase material to make at least 2 to 4 tie blankets which will be raffled off at the June car show. We will also be making the blankets at the May meeting. We really need and ap-preciate all the support we can get to make this fund raiser a success. We also need more ideas for the upcoming meetings. Please let Suzanne or me know if you have any ideas or crafts you might want to demo at our meetings. Hope to see you all at the April meeting. Thanks again for all your support. Suzanne and Anne
