The concept of free gymsThe Great Outdoor Gym Company (TGO) is a Great British manufacturer of outdoor gym equipment. TGO gyms contain equipment normally seen in an indoor gym such as cross trainers, bikes, lat pull downs, pull ups and abs benches except they are weatherproof and heavy duty, free to use and designed for the great outdoors. Everyone is able to have free access to TGO gyms 24/7 creating a great space for the whole community to get fit. TGO gyms are also a great meeting space for the community and are a real focal point for positive activity.

TGO use the highest quality materials and use skilled welders, fabricators and finishers. Customers can check on production here in the UK and if they have any problems TGO are right here on their doorstep.

BSI PAS 888 outdoor gym specificationBefore TGO, there were no outdoor gym standards in Europe. TGO adopted the play standards (EN1176), the indoor gym equipment standard (EN957) and key elements of the Inclusive Fitness Initiative – which meant all our equipment was free from safety hazards and as inclusive as possible for different types of gym user. Unfortunately, some importers of Chinese equipment didn’t follow suit with their range; they got away with crush points, sharp edges and other hazards. Recognised as the leader in our field, TGO was approached by the British Standards Institute to create a British product specification.
