What is The First Tee ?What is The First Tee ? The First Tee was created in 1997 and through The First Tee Life Skills Experience, a curriculum for teaching character education through specific life skills, children around the world discover how the skills essential to success on a golf course can help them flourish in life. The PLAYer is exposed to the golf course & has opportunities to play the game, which in turn provides reasoning to why a skill is important, helping them to become PLAYers for life. Classes are taught by trained Coaches and meet once (twice for Sessions 5) a week for 10 weeks. For 7-11 year olds. Limited to 20 students

PLAYer Participants interested in upgrading to an annual mem-bership, the additional fee for 2011 is only $50!

This program is intended to promote curiosity about the game through a safe and fun environment for 5-6 year olds.

Classes are taught by trained Coaches and participants will enjoy 60 minutes of golf based activity once a week throughout the duration of the session.

Upon completion of the 6 week Target Class and approval from the Program Coordinator, participants may enroll in the PLAYer Program .

TARGET Program

PLAYer Program

A participant may enroll in the Certification Program (restrictions apply) where they can progress through 4 different levels: Par, Birdie, Eagle and Ace. Advancement occurs when miletstones are accomplished and a certification test is passed.

Milestones may be reached at the participant’s own pace and include: attending class; practice sessions; playing the Par 3; and applying core lessons taught in The First Tee. Participants register for classes, practice sessions and weekly play days based on availability.

The annual fee for membership is $150$150 and includes the following rewards and benefits:

• Password access to sign up for classes weekly • Access to TFTGVR practice facilities/Par-3 course during

programming • Weekly play day opportunities on the Par-3 course • Program specific yardage book • Golf skills instruction from trained Coaches • Discounted rates at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club & other

affiliated golf courses • Discounted private instruction rates
